Only a few musicians were capable of resetting entirely the standards of an instrument. Stanley Jordan is one of them.

I detest comparisons, we are all different, music is not the olympics and every style is respectable, but here there's a lesson for all the open tuning random tappers of today, knowing very little of harmony and obstinately whackin DADGAD or alike tuned guitars that sound ok even if they fall down the stairs. Desperately trying to be cool, a whole life in the same key...
