Clearly with his voice, and musical talent he should've had more success with his solo records, but God has a plan...and its better then anything we may plan for ourselves. I love this song, it is very beautiful.......despite El's problems he is a very sweet and down to earth individual as well as dynamic Artist.............My sister died from drugs and complications from the AIDS virus but she was the sweetest person, that you would ever want to know. Sometimes life is like that and I still think of her till this day, she died in 1991, so I know what it is like to love someone that is having some problems.

I don't care what anybody says, El's debut album was his best because almost every single song could have been a hit on either the RB, Pop or Adult Contempory radio and all would have made great videos. This is one of the best songs from that great album and would have made a great video. "An accidental touch turned into a gentle kiss..." Come on this was great pop music!
Don't get me wrong, I loved GEMINI and IN THE STORM for different reasons, but of all his solo albums only HEART MIND AND SOUL came close to matching the shear beauty of his DEBUT album. This man was the definitive 80s PRINCE OF SOPHISTICATED SOUL and the Johnny Mathis of his generation. Hope he can make a comeback, we need him, but then again only TIME WILL REVEAL.
I agree, this was his best product. Even though none the songs were written by El, he should have stayed with same song format until his fans were ready for a change. Between his debut album and "Heart, Mind and Soul" I thought most of his songs were missing the mark. They didn't seem to fire-off the way the other two albums did. El DeBarge or his family was never fully appreciated or funded. If Motown would have invested more in them like having them do more music videos, appearing in more TV shows, etc. Then they probably would have gotten bigger.

I remember turn the page . Some one has it on You Tube, you know how to save songs and make them mp3 right? If not I will show you how. On that song turn the page he sung it with his younger brother Darell Debarge, which sounds like Anita Baker. Well he has a song out on his own call E spot. Just type young debarge on You tube and he will pop up. Yeah, look out for James Debarge daugther album too her name is Kristina Debarge. As you can see I am a true debarge fan.

This is featured on El's self titled solo album, released shortly after the group split up. 1986. To this day, it mind boggles me why this album this blow up like it should have.

El DeBarge or his family was never fully appreciated or funded. If Motown would have invested more in them like having them do more music videos, appearing in more TV shows, etc. Then they probably would have gotten bigger.
