Metal storm is faster but a minigun has little to no recoil because of it's system, not to mention that it's damn powerful. It can be carried and used by one strong person (as in a marine) but not efficiently because of its weight and ammunitions use. A very good gun, but very heavy and no longer does it reign supreme...
