But also, there are some bugs that live underwater. They're mostly types of beetles if not including larvae of other types of bugs (and a type of spider, too :P

If it makes it easier, imagine this: You have two samples of venom of LDs 20mg and 10mg, and 100mg of each venom. The venom of LD:20mg can kill only 5 mice, while the venom of LD:10mg can kill 10 mice. If you're a venomous predator, you want deadlier venom to give your prey the slimmest chance of escape.

It's still scary, how little these guys need to kill 50 mice.
