The volunteer fire department did a beautiful job dousing the blaze. I cant believe there are groups out there criticizing their responsiveness. The fire could have easily destroyed much more of that neighborhood.

From Town of Sylvan lake: While all kindness is appreciated, donations are urged to be those listed above, so the families in need can receive what the need most urgently. Ive spoken with the Community Partners Association, and they do NOT need clothes, childrens toys, etc. However they may need household items in th...e future. Gad. If these houses weren't built so bloody close together. It makes me so angry.

@joelplane Agreed. And building codes could've been followed more closely ... so much could've been done when these houses were being built to prevent things like this from happening.
