the entrees went from molasses brinned pork chops to the same boring un tastey menu theyve had no for 5 years buccaneer beef short ribs are disgusting the tesoro chicken is just blah even the surf and turf isnt great basically your paying so much for a crappy meal when u can go to joes crab shack for cheaper with higher quality of food !! i miss the days when the blue bayou was worth going too :(

in 2005 and 2006 when u uploaded this the blue bayou was an amazing restaurant with great food....now its one of the most dissapointing food places disneyland has to offer !!! the ambiance or decore is basically the only reason we go now ..they completly changed there menu knocking off all appetizers which were so great the jumbo chilled shrimp was my favorite and also getting rid of most of the dessert the pirate cookie boat was a trademark which they no longer serve

@karebear0410 yes its beautiful! it was really the most defining part of that trip because it's only unique to DL, the rest always merges with my memories of DL paris and WDW, I was in love with it! the last time I went to WDW last year I did the dining plan and managed to try most of the best restaurants and I still didn't think any were as beautifully themed as this!

@Satchel334 There is only one place in Disneyland that serves alcohol. That is Club 33 just above the Blue Bayou. It is an exclusive club where you have to know a member to get in.

Notice how nobody mentioned how expensive the blue bayou is. It's like $40 per entree. However even though it IS expensive it's TOTALLY worth it. I do highly recomend it! Also for dessert try the creme brule it will make your trip there (even though you might only have one bite of it because of the big meal you just ate, but still even one bite's worth it!)

lol this vid is cute and also informative. I agree about the knotts scare event, it's pretty nuts, I didn't like being chased around the whole night, but some people think that's fun. i've never been to the blue bayou but I really want to go. Everytime we go it's super packed though.

Lunch is cheaper then Dinner. The Monte Cristo is VERY good (Lunch is only served until 4 PM) so if it's after 4 & you want a Monte Cristo go to Cafe Orleans as it's $5 cjheaper and is also available for dinner)

i gotta go to the blue bayou next month. i have never sat next to the water, never. i've gotten close to it but i haven't been able to sit next to it. despite that, it's still a cool restaurant.

I ate at the Blue Bayou last September on my birthday and they gave me a HUGE free dessert! They have really good food! Expensive but worth it for the quality and atmosphere.

Best restaurant in disney in my opinion, I wish they put one in WDW as well because its just got the greatest atmosphere!! I recommend trying to bag a table closest to where the ride goes past because it feels more open and you can see alot more from there, and you get a few waves from people as they go past the ride its great =D

It is fun riding Pirates and watching all the animatronic people eating dinner. Even the servers seem so real genuine.  It is amazing how far audio animatronics have come.

The Blue Bayou has great atmosphere no doubt about it, however the food is horrible! Hinestly I want to believe its good because its Disneyland. Disneyland kicks ass! But i had the Monte Cristo Sandwhich and I have to say I could've ordered this thing at a ma & pa's donut shop. My friend who went with me had the Jambalya and Crab Cakes it that too was horrible. I don't know maybe its me I wanna like the food but the only way i'll eat there again is if somebody pays for me.

Blue Bayou is only at Disneyland. Disney World's Pirates of the Caribbean is only half as long and does not have a restaurant inside. They never even intended to build Pirates on the East coast because it didn't seem exotic enough given the proximity to the Spanish Main, so it was just thrown together with a few scenes due to public pressure. I could go on, but I won't

I've never been there. It looks nice, but i really like eating at club 33, which is next door, you need like a reservation though. There is a large 33 over the doorway. It's really awesome inside it was once Walt Disney's old appartment.

Club 33 is a private member club, and membership is several thousand dollars each year. It is a bit prohibitive for most folks, and even if it weren't the waiting list is about 7 years. And there is talk of making it "by invitation only" as it originally was. And it wasn't Walt's apartment. It was by it, it was his private club to entertain guests at.what was his apartment is what was Disney Gallery, and now will be the "Dream Suite" they award nightly for Year of a Million Dreams.

Walts original apartment is the firehouse on Main Street the new disneyland dream suite would have been his larger apartment to entertain family, and dignitaries from around the world. And the Club 33 is a members only club. You have to know some who is a member to become a member otherwise you cant eat there or even go inside.

I love going to The Blue Bayou. I thought the PB and Jelly Cristo was pretty darn good on the kids menu. My son on the other hand thought it was strange.

@Picklesthedrummer7 u can make reservations up to 60 days in advance they dont allow you to pick your seats when u place your reservation ......... when u show up ten minutes prior to your reservation you just let the hostess kno you want a table on the water ... it may take a little bit longer but its the best place to sit
