I'm a little disappointed with Scott Baio after his slew of reality shows, but he still looks good. Ugh, I love the movies he starred in. Bugsy's one of my favorites<3
I adore this movie. This was my childhood. I used to dress up and sing "my name is tallulah" all the time. I still know all the words to every song! My children will definitely be watching this in the future!
This movie was a big part of my childhood ...my brother was just watching this about 15 minutes ago and i was in the other room and i heard a scream ...and i looked at my mum and was like thats bugsy malone ...haha ...proves how many times i have watched this movie !
I remember as a kid going to watch some of the car chases being filmed during the school holidays, they were filmed in Black Park Iver Heath about 1 mile from Pinewood,I still go there now and it still looks the same, childhood meomories :-)
The peddle cars would be a GREAT environmental plan, AND it would help people get some much needed exercise at the same time! The peddle car would only be for 'home' trips. Nothing too far, unless the 'driver' is into triatholons. Seriously, though, why not? It would be a great two for one benefit. And it would scale down the demand for oil, that keeps us in the back pocket of less than ethical countries, terrorist wise.
@AdventureIslandRocks I can imagine. I've had a few opportunities and chickened out . I like singing, but don't know if I can do it in public. I'm sure you did fine! Nerves and all.
Ive just watched all five, thanks so much for sharing them, ive enjoyed watching it so much and it brings back all the childhood memories singing along to all the songs x
@Fafaknickers We did this for our school play when we were leaving middle school, i played tallulah and it was the best year of my life it was so fun making it at the end we all hit eachother in the face with pies aswell :') x
I wontickets to see this when it first came out, now lets see I must have been in grade 7 and I loved it and loved the pedal cars. Nowm the kids have to sit through terrible scenes of blood and guts crimes.
Jodie Foster is so right, I remember watching this when I was young and it just seemed normal to me, I remember that I never got the custard pie guns thing, I couldn't understand how that killed people because I took it seriously. I never noticed that they were kids in the roles I just thought they had annoying voices. I was about 6.
@yenavlump I ask my self that question all the time, (There is nothing like being kid.) If someone offered me a choice between a billon dollars or being a kid again I would definitely pick reliving my childhood hands down.
@brotherbandit hello...in answer to your question, it is 'The Entertainer' by Scott Joplin and used as the theme tune for the film 'The Sting' starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman...enjoy!
I just found this and I'm so happy I did. I didn't know they had made a "the making of" documentary. Bugsy Malone has always been one of my favorite movies. It wonderful hear the stories behind film. Thank you so much!!!
I remember when they were casting this, and there was an opportunity for me and some other kids to go audition for it. I decided against it and like many people I've wondered from time to time, "What if...?"
i love this movie, and to see this clip is kind of humeris. my 6 yr old and i just got done watching it and imust say bugsy malone has a new fan.i hope he loves it as much as i do.i love all the snappy lines that make them sound more adult than thay already are LOL. bye for now
Who would have thought it? Of all the crazy characters she had done Tallulah is the one who oviously really hurted to perform. Coming from Taxi Driver this sounds even more way out.
having seen this video I'm gonna order the DVD; never saw it..... WONDERFUL stuff, so well played and all those former kids saying that they basically just played being themselves!! :)
Thanks for this great video, shall now watch the second part!
Love this film nowadays. I remember when I was at school our drama teacher wanted to do a play of Bugsy Malone, I was cast as Blousy alongside a kid I dispised!!!
I don't think this film is on blue - ray in the USA. Why is this? Can anyone answer this? Can you write to the studio about it?
When I was 12, I was just learning to speak in los angeles, so I don't get how these kids did this acting in the film. I don't believe it. Also, has that guy with the bald head always been an adult with a bald head who sounded like he's from new jersey? strange.
I just saw this on Netflix and I loved it. OMG I'd rather watch movies like this than today's garbage factory that is Hollywood. I loved Jodie Foster and Scott Baio in this. The songs were great, it was funny and cute. I love Busy Malone!
So is this movie really famous in Britain? Seeing this documentary and reading all the comments on these videos makes it appear that way. It was a huge flop here in the US. If you ask most Americans about it, they won't know what you're talking about.
It is kind of sad that Scott lost his only trusted manager and father, Mario Baio, from a heart attack right on the eve of his wife Renee announcing twins on March of 2007. Even though he lost a twin(it was not mention in the reality show), though around that point in time, he was deeply distraught as to losing his father and was going through Hell himself.
