I saw the Minders' DVD Season One at the library, checked it out on a lark, and fell in love with this song. Then I found out that Dennis Waterman sang this song. Surprise! Surprise!! And then to see him in The Sweeny, it just boggles my mind that he can sing and be a versatile actor, too. Not fair that some people have so much talent and others have so little. LOL!!

Minder-The Jewel in the crown of British television though it should have ended on top in 1985. When Waterman wisely left, they should have known better than to continue as George Cole turned Arthur into a caricature and as for that Ray Daley character, the less said the better.

minder was like Eric Cantona the footballer. We all knew it was good but not all of us new just how good it was. T.V. Has become very "throw away" but shows like this are still a joy to watch even today, even though London and its inhabitants have changed beyond recognition Minder has the same qualities as the Ealing Comedies. Never to be repeated (no matter how hard we try) never to be matched, never to be seen again. Pure magic.
