This was set up by 10 of us (the student body officers), we used our own families' treadmills as well as neighbors .. hauled them to the school 2-3 at a time in the back of a truck, set them up in an abandoned room, and let the performers practice for a few weeks (I think two). Then, we got some people and moved them all into the gym for the assembly. This wasn't the whole assembly, but was definitely a hit.
