am i correct in saying that all a/c coming into the uk civil military etc have to have adsb installed by 2011? if so I would definitely get one of these
@RnliRescue1414 , Hi There, The Helicopter does appear on the screen showing that it is in the area but not on the radar, The helicopter broadcasts AIS , If you had a AIS reciever you will be able to track the heli in real time.
Hi there,i live in Ireland,,my question is what sort of distance will it cover with a good Ariel,,will i be able to cover all of Europe,,thanx in advance,,Glenn,,
Will the RadarBox track private aircraft (light aircraft) if they are using a Mode S transponder?
What about military aircraft? Will they show up on there? I live close to several military airfields and it would be good to see where all their air movements go to.
i mean it's nice but there's radars for airports on the internet, there's flightaware to track the flight, and their's liveatc to listen to the plane. I mean this is a lot easier and better but is it worth that much money?
It's on sale for 590 now, i'm selling most of my stuff for it. What would be better? Buy a handheld transciever to listen to atc when i plane spot for about $250 or buy this for $590? Your decision is important to me.
Hi There, The Range can be a maximum of 200-250 miles but this depends on your area if you are on high or low ground. The Majority of aircraft today have ADS-B in their aircraft, (this allows it to appear on map and you track). If the airnav radar box is + antenna right near the airport you will have no problem seeing the aircraft 15 mins before landing. Remember this all depends on the area, Height is everything!.
Do you get atc with them as well or would I have to buy an airband scanner aswell
