@mcRioRemedy This is only what I think but I guess they could easily isolate a proton by taking the single electron off from a hydrogen atom. And the reason why they don't use electrons is because they have barely any mass and according to E=mc^2 they don't have as much energy in them.

Are you aware that mini black holes are created daily, in our own atmosphere. If they do create a black hole it will be even smaller than the ones in our atmosphere and will disappear as quick as it came.

Also we have been smashing particles into each other for ages without disaster striking. This is not a new thing. The only difference is that it is bigger than the previous ones and therefore you can get higher energy collisions.
