How about this as a larger point? While the actual cause of the accident was either Vickers or Earnhardt (not going to debate that), the cause of the massive pileup that ensued was a result of restrictor plate racing and anytime draft is a more dominant force in car speed than setup or driver ability, you're going to get a group of cars in a pile (or wad if you listen to DW) and a small wreck or bump will turn into a 10 - 15 car pileup.

Ok..me im a 48 fan but what Jr did here was frustration and took it out on Vickers causing a bad wreck. I agree that Jr needs to get his head out of his ass..that was uncalled for whether he did it on purpose or it was an accident I don't really care! He may be the most popular driver but def not the most talented and this proves it. I have much respect for the man he's under alot of pressure to perform because of his name but i was disgusted of what happened either on purpose or by accident!

Here is the deal. Jr. got blocked but Vickers was to slow on the block, clipped jr. jr. gets pissed and I really believe he was trying to turn Vickers around, but in the grass, but the second wobble turning him back into the field. Sucks. Lap cars racing and screws up the folks that deserved to be up front.
