i think theres a patch to make it compatible with Vista or the windows you are using.

Check the sites and google for any trouble shooting.

Otherwise partition your computer to have XP and play off that.

Good game SHOWWII. Graphics kinda crap so you don't need particualy good comp. The background music IS medal of honor real music for that mission is way different. Still a popular game, mods are still being made for it although many have moved onto FOW (faces of war) it's sequel. I've noticed the online is full of russians, pols and germans so get learning your languages :) I hate the mission you were playing it desyncs in coop. I've noticed the sounds and voices are different, I have 1.28 patch

I first played this then faces of war (When i first got into this and saw the direct control and all that) I was amazed and to be clearly , you can play it online through GAMESPY :) (There's even a mod for it that's being played hard) Through gamespy .

EVEN IF you have downloaded the game you can still play online as long as u have the latest patch (99% use the latest patch) good game man , very good !

This game has like 20 different units for four sides, micro interface, like backpack inventory for each guy and vehicle. plus it has 3d action simulator, the direct control interface for each unit. I think you should just go to google and type something like troubleshooting Soldier Heroes of world war 2 then look for your problem and you should get some info on it. I also sugest you just put your settings to low. Or the minimal graphics the game with accept. ok

Put it like this: If these games were wristwatches, S:HoWWII is a dodgy Soviet era vintage, while CoH is a high quality modern one. They're both cool, but in totally different ways. Why don't you try the demo's for both games?

CoH hands down. It's two years younger and it shows. It's great how you can destroy literally everything on the map. Check out some of the Howitzer movies here on you tube.

If you want a great RTS, both in singleplayer and especially multiplayer, go for CoH. But if you want a diamond in the rough that combines a lot of great ideas (that admittedly aren't all that well executed) go for S:HoWWII.

in multiplayer you are given points (or cash.. havent played in years). You use those points to buy units (soldiers,tanks,ect.). You don't actually build units, you buy them with points allowed in the game.

The game was amazing. The mods were great as well. Much better than COH and came out years before it too.

COH is kiddy type of wwii game.

SOWWII is more tactical and based on strategie. You can use molotovs on tanks and set up ambuses with mines. It's really great.
