  • I wouldn't call it just "one mere city." It's kinda the center of three major religions. But I think it's best put by Saladin in "Kingdom of Heaven":

    "[Jerusalem,] It's nothing... It's everything."

  • @ShoodDaFckinWoop what i meant was that one more city from the view of the crusaders. Pope Urban II promised immortality to those who would conquer jerusalem in the name of christ thus the statement "Just one more city to reach Heaven!". I hope you get the point now.

  • @ares1815 Fair enough, although not so much "immortality" as "remission of sins."

  • you know its not a real anno game when the sum of all the numbers dosent = 9

    such as

    1701

    1404

    2070

  • That's one bloody mess...

  • I don't understand, but I find crusade so awsome, mostly the knights.

  • sweet video

  • idiot this is medivel total war 2

  • Brillient. this deserves an oscar. or a grammy. or whatever. it deserves something heavy made of gold.

  • What's the name of the game??? HELP ME!

  • Knights Templar! WOOOOH!!!

  • Long story short, Islam is for colossal faggots.

  • 1:53 Broken Crescent?

  • i feel neither side was right. Obviously, we have not lived in the time of the Crusades so we cannot tell directly how bad the torture/persecution was for Christian pilgrims. Most likely, the cause for the First Crusade was brought on by themselves (being the Muslims). But the Christians aren't innocent; the crusade was so bloodthirsty, and don't forget the propaganda from Pope Urban II.

  • the Crusades were called for these reasons

    1. help the Byzantine empire

    2. protect inocent pilgrims going to the Holy Land

    3. drive back the Turkish invaisions

    4. put Jerusalem back into Christian hands

    5. save the eastern Christians from discrimination by there muslim overlords

  • No, just no.

  • oh like you have a better answer

  • Well, the only ones that have any remote truth are 3 and 4. Western Catholic Church had many grudges with the eastern orthodox church. Constantinople was even sacked by one of the crusader armies at one point, can't remember which crusade though. Also, Christian pilgrims weren't under any threat whilst in Jerusalem. If they were in danger, it was because the crusader armies butchered muslim pilgrims that encouraged muslims to do likewise to the christians. And 5 is just bullshit and you know it

  • Emperor Alexias asked the Pope for help it came in the Crusades

the 4th Crusade sack Constantinople because the Doge Dandilo of Venice wanted to settle a feud with the Byzantines

they were safe in Jerusalem but outside was a diffrent story the Muslim rulers only pretected Muslim pilgrims while the Christians were attacked by the Turks

Sharia law (used by Muslims) made Christians lower then Muslims beheading them if attempting to convert a Muslim to Christianity

  • Yeah nice word for word copy of Wikipedia. For future reference, it's not a very trustworthy source.

  • Thats wrong, lol

The first crusade was launched because of Christian Pilgrim caravans being raided, you know, just because Muslims arent bad doesnt mean they can do no wrong

  • @holyadvocate, And you reckon that that is the most important reason and the main motive for the commencement of the Crusade? Like the Pope ever gave a crap about Christian Pilgrims. It was all about the weakening of the east and the imbalance of power. Without Byzantium as the dominant force in the east, the Arab world could strike at Europe and indeed that is what they eventually did with the Turks in eastern Europe....

  • correct!!

  • what game is that dudes

  • Deus vult!!!! Deus vult!!!!

  • Deus le volt!

  • Its called Deus lo Vult ;)

  • the first crusade was prophecised in Revelation 20

  • 1st stop insulting other peoples religions, 2nd Jews arent behind all the evil and other stuff -.-

we all know that there are as many evil jews as there are evil christians. If you do a reasonable amount of research you will find that the church have done way much more bad stuff: The witch hunt letting murderers get away with their crimes for a small sum of money and much more I am not trying to insult any religion when i say this i think religions lead to fightin so i dont believe in anything.

  • I desagree religion is a weapon to make people harden themshelves and start a war. The real cause of wars are money nothing else.....

  • @TerryRMC although i'm Catholic... I agree. The church had wronged many peoples back then since the papacy then thought that they were unstoppable. But when protestantism came, islamic invasions, and orthodox ministries began spreading, the papacy saw that they can only control people through religion...and nothing more.

The church reformed as the vatican 2 several centuries later after St. Francis of Assissi delivered a warning from god of the churches actions.

  • @bigjoe777 the pope then was so moved of the warning (vision as he called it) that he kneeled before St. francis. This was the start of the reformation. The college of cardinals didn't accept it at first, having the pope kneel to one man. But they can do nothing about it for if they were to harm St. Francis... all their preaching of love, mercy, poverty, and kindness would be questioned. they who preach of poverty for God yet sit on highly adorned seats. Are they not to be questioned?

  • @bigjoe777 the church should go practice on what it preaches... this was one of the main concerns of the church. To prove it's not a powerful state of political and military strength, the church returned the papal states to the people around the area. The vatican state remains today as a state of religion... not politics (but people usually go there for diplomacy that sometimes i think the church still holds some kind of authority in politics)

  • @TerryRMC

That ain't good bro. I don't say we should be fanatics or total atheists but its important to find something to believe in ... anything ... I'm not talking just about religion.

  • @TerryRMC you mean that you belive that religion lead to fightin

  • Please...you talk shit

  • @FRApp44300 as bad as that sounds, i agree with you! although a little harsh how you said it, i agree with you

  • yea my bad haha but hey come on look at whats going on right now! all the people in the media and entertainment business (Shia lebeouf from transformers, Maddoff biggest ripoff of the century, French president, i can go on forever) but unfortunately its not politically correct to say this today but its true! so true its right in front of our noses and noones sees it!

  • @FRApp44300 i know! it happens all around us. Not just with Jewish people either

  • i like this ares. keep it up
