About 15 years ago Charlie had been overdosing a lot. So his dad got him arrested on parole violation and the court made him go into rehab. He was ok for a long time after that.

I think there have been other interventions over the years, so hopefully they're working on it.

Just before this started, Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez were asked how Charlie is. Martin said that addiction is a disease and that Charlie needs prayers. They must be even more worried now.
