I'm sorry. at 1:02 I had to stop the video because the phasing was so horrible. Not to mention the fact that it is so frighteningly unnecessary to march 150+ people on a field and have your entire jazz band on the field. call me crazy. that's just a little bit overkill. And maybe overcompensating for the fact that a vast majority of your freshmen can't march in step to save their lives. MARCH LESS PEOPLE!!!
well without the jazz band it would take away the effect. The sole theme of the show is modern big band. How often do you see a jazz band on the stage on the field? I know when I did this show with EDHS, I marched but I remember the whole jazz band at the beginning didn't appear until the Hunting Wabbits solo section and then they all got off the stage right at the Hunting Wabbits tag at the end of the field show. Some of the players were marching too.
It was only the jazz sax section that marched since they were being featured at the very beginning of the show. I never really understood why my jazz band at the time had to rush onto the stage during the Hunting Wabbits classical section and then get off at the very end. Then again I wonder why EDHS used this same stage twice for two of their field shows, 2003 "Chicago" , and the 2004 "Big Phat Phield Show". Good thing though they didn't use it for 2005 "Bigger Phatter Phield Show".
At times the marching band, pit, and the jazz band seem out of sync time wise. You guys and gals put your best effort into this show and its obvious. Interesting solos from your saxes. I bet this was a difficult show to play. I know since I have marched it before. I like the amount of the brass power in this show especially in the Samba del Gringo segment.

if the jazz band was marching they could have had some really good forms with that many people in the band marching.
