  • Of course there's no actual evidence for spitting Dilophosaurs, Jurassic Park made that up.

  • or of its neck-frill

    but they could've been possible

  • The Jurassic Park version of Dilophosaurus is shown with a expandable neck-frill, and with the ability to spit poison - there is no evidence that the real animal had either of these features but it is not made up. It might have had the feature to spit poison and true there is no proof.

  • no, it was made up. There's no reason to theorize that it could spit poison. ANY dinosaur could have for all we know, yes, but that's just being hypothetical for the heck of it. The movie did it as a fun "what if," but didn't base it on any real theories.

  • @Anteater22 no Jurassic Park didn't make that up, if you had actually read Michael Crichton book (witch Steven Spielberg made the movie from his books) he made that up. Sheesh pick up a book once in awhile you might actually learn some thing.

  • @Artamis7777 I never said whether I was referring to the book or the film, that was an assumption you made. And actually, I did read the book, as a kid back in 1993, it's still there on my shelf next to a great many other books.

Which is entirely irrelevant to the point I was making. Which is that (unless it is for a Jurassic Park exhibit) scientific reconstructions of Dilophosaurus should not spit. If we want to nit-pick further, it also shouldn't hold its hands in that pronated position.

  • This one is also good, I like it, Looks Cobra Dinosaur.
