ok your pull start may be hard to pull because either the motor could be siezed, or be flooded...and no offense man you have no fucken glow plug in there haha.
you have no glowplug in the motor! you need that! duh! and drop 2 drops of nitro fuel in carb after you put in the glowplug! aqnd give it a pull. they will be hard to pull just do it in short bursts not all the way up or you will snap the cord.
put after run oil. i know you havent run it but do it. it lubricates it. next take a heat gun. and heat the engine to around 150 degrees fraenheit. that will loosen the fit between the piston and sleeve. then it should start.

I have the same car as you dude, i suggest checking glow plug, carb settings, exhaust tube pressure, head gasket pressure. Oh and make sure you prime it properly, this car doesnt run if the priming is not done just right. But try checking those, reply back if one of them might be the prob

First, look at the leftside of your engine, slightly under the head gasket(big grey heat sink) theres 2 bolts, check if they are tight as possible without wrecking the bolt. 2nd, tell me if the tube from exhaust to gas tank is loose, if it slides to easily you might be losing pressure needed to push the fuel to engine. I had this prob & changed it
@otoakki well, i changed it cause i couldnt see the fuel as the other reason^^" but the one i got was slightly thicker than stock so it as good air seal. 3rd you know what your glow plug is right? if so, pull it out (using pliers not fingers) hold the glow glow plug, then plug your glow starter in it to see if it lights up (the moment the coils glow red RELEASE IT!! or you might burn it) if it doesnt light, then its already burnt or your glow starter is dead, i hope this helps and good luck =)
@otoakki mine has four torque security screws...and the tube from tank to exhaust is a little loose on the tank side. but i now have a new problem.....ezstart locked up!!!!! :*((((((

haaaaaaaaaaaa HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA i know what happened,... you threw the rod, pull the motor off the frame and remove the pull start , Then remove the pullstart rear cover and you will see ,.. it dont pull over becuz the crank is geting stoped on the broke piston rod
am put fuel in to it and make sure that the glo plug is working ... after putting fuel in pull 3 times with your finger on the exzaust ... plus you need a glo plug heater

ur engine has to much fuel in and the way you fix that is take out the glow plug then put a cloth over the engine and start pulling about 10 times then put the glow plug back in and eventually the pull start will work
also, ignore all these comments on air filter and all that.. you do not need it to start your car but do to run, it also has nothing to do with clutch spring... Again I had exaclty the same problem with mine it seems common and not a fault you just have to keep pulling... after 7 or 8 pulls take out the glow plug and pull it 3-4 times to clear fuel (if you do not you can damage the engine) put it back inn and try some more.. or buy a bump/Jump box this way you dont need to pull.
Hi pal typical RS4.. I have 3xTS4N touring cars a TMaxx and Revo.. I sold my RS4 a few weeks ago because of exactly the same reason... its a bitch to start... I was at it for over an hour one day.... then it finally started.. I had the same problems with the sound and feel when glow plug was inn but when out it sounded fine, almost like piston was hitting head but it wasn't very strange sound when pulling starter.not got a clue what it was but mine did it too. not much help but bump box may work

with the glow plug in that is just the compression from the engine. but if you dont get it fixed the you will have to get a new engine like me because you will get low compression from the engine.

Take glow plug out. Once car is primed, pull the pull cord to see if fuel is coming out, if not, pull on the pull start whilst blowing through the pressure line. This will force the fuel to go through. Once you see fuel flying out, put plug back on, and try and start it again. Open carb a bit more as this makes it easier for the car to start, its like giving it a bit of gas. If car starts, it will rev high, therefore clutch will engage. Just simply lower rpm from controller 2 required idlespeed.

Hi mate, Look and see if you can move the fly wheel on the motor sharft. If you can then look at the pull starter. see If the screws 3 are to tight on the motor. sometimes the pul starter can stop from this. Good luck
you have a hydraulic compresion that means you engine will live twise than an other engine and you have to blow hot air to your engine and then will unstuck

if its a new engine then they are very hard to start anyway as they are very tight. warm the engine up with a hairdryer for 10mins, this will expand the metal, loosening it up. but to ensure its not flooded take out the glow plug, turn the car upside down and cycle the piston to remove any fuel. make sure its fully primed, needles are at stock, glow starter is fully charged . oh and one more tip place little fuel directly into the carb just to make sure its fully primed and ready to go.
last thing you want to do is pay some shithead from a hobby shop. watch videos by ALISHANMAO on youtube. that's where i got the answers to all my problems with starting rc trucks
welll if i were u go to ur nearest hobby shop and ask them to do the bottem line basic tuning and running threw of the engine for u or intsead just replace the pull cord and put a fresh glow plug in and charge alll ur warmers and prime it then start it during the first few pulls u should feel compresion in the engine threw the pull cord if not send it bak for the warranty cause it looks to be fine apart from the pull cord so just replace the pull cord bro ok
could be a card issue perhaps to rich turn in the screw just a tad and see if that helps I'm looking at the needle on top and it seems a bit to rich turn in a couple turns and charge you igniter until the igniter is warm then try it other then that I'm not to sure it could be many things
Dude get a hair-dryer or a heat gun and heat that engine up. New motors tend to pinch the piston a bit. One minute of heat will loosen everything up. And prime that bitch til you see fuel entering the carb through the line. Hold your finger over the exhaust tip and pull it 3 or 4 times that will prime it. Make sure you got fresh batteries in that glow stick!
just try over priming it somtimes thats the problem not enough fuel but if it still dosent start i would sugges taking it to the store u bought it from and getting them to take a look at it i could tell u the problem but i cant see the engine in real time. =D
Ya well er... if you knew so much u would know that you have to set the idle so it doesnt close up when you brake... its called tuning.. :/ and my firestorm 10t pullstart was stiff when new, just tug it, it'll loosen
normally when the pullstart becomes hard to pull it means that u have flooded it and it is creating compression inside the engine. But i noticed in this video that u had NO glowplug which means the pullstart should be atleast easier to pull. Maybe it is because it is new, what I would do is put a drop of after run oil in the combustion chamber and then a drop in the carb, that should lube things up a little. Tip the car to its side and pull on the pullstart to unflood the engine.

Bad fuel can cause this along with not running in properly
make sure fuel is good dont leave in hot shed etc
5 or 6 tanks should do the trick or pull engine down and check to see if there is a lip inside which is fuel problem

does it rev high and start to go forward... if so turn the idle turn on your transmitter... or does it just rev high at standing still ? if so richen your idle needle... check your owners manuel for where the idle needle is ;)

Ever sence yesterday My car Over Revved My Hpi rs4 My a Miss take It does not want to start I pulled the Head Off Piston Looks Fine pulls No Problem when the Go Plug is out But when it's In It does not Feel the same Seems A little Harder could just Be Me i put a new well used glow in it to see if that worked But didn't What do u think ?? And when it over Revved it was like 4 second's I put my Hand over the Exhaust to Kill it

with the glow plug in that is just the compression from the engine. but if you dont get it fixed the you will have to get a new engine like me because you will get low compression from the engine.

"CoolBlue " I got a Brand New Glow Plug today and No luck LOL The Compression still Feels Good it was just me that day lol But yeah Compression Is still Hard like it was before i OVer Reved it By Miss take when i was Tunning It but Yeah I got to Check the Spring in the Clutch why would the springs have any thing to do with it starting Up thats some thing i tell you It's been a long time since I messed with these's gas cars the last one i had was when i was 15 Team Losi GTX

your pull starter is going half way cause you fluded your engine take your croos or wrench put it in the engine to take out the glow plug pull the pull starter 10 times it works than put you glow plug back in and then put your glow starter on it should work

Take glow plug out. Once car is primed, pull the pull cord to see if fuel is coming out, if not, pull on the pull start whilst blowing through the pressure line. This will force the fuel to go through. Once you see fuel flying out, put plug back on, and try and start it again. Open carb a bit more as this makes it easier for the car to start, its like giving it a bit of gas. If car starts, it will rev high, therefore clutch will engage. Just simply lower rpm from controller 2 required idlespeed.

hey the engine is flooded take out the glow plug and pull the pull start like 7 times you can put a parper towel on the top of the engine so all the gas and oil wont splatter then prime your engine dont prime it to much or the engine will be flooded hten it shold start up if it dont work take it to MSI racing& hobbies and they will fix it thats the real solution

Hi mate, Look and see if you can move the fly wheel on the motor sharft. If you can then look at the pull starter. see If the screws 3 are to tight on the motor. sometimes the pul starter can stop from this. Good luck

you have a hydraulic compresion that means you engine will live twise than an other engine and you have to blow hot air to your engine and then will unstuck

yeah your engine is flooded tip it up side down and pull the pull start about 10 times before you do that take the glow plug out and dont tighten the glow plug to tight

if its a new engine then they are very hard to start anyway as they are very tight. warm the engine up with a hairdryer for 10mins, this will expand the metal, loosening it up. but to ensure its not flooded take out the glow plug, turn the car upside down and cycle the piston to remove any fuel. make sure its fully primed, needles are at stock, glow starter is fully charged . oh and one more tip place little fuel directly into the carb just to make sure its fully primed and ready to go.

welll if i were u go to ur nearest hobby shop and ask them to do the bottem line basic tuning and running threw of the engine for u or intsead just replace the pull cord and put a fresh glow plug in and charge alll ur warmers and prime it then start it during the first few pulls u should feel compresion in the engine threw the pull cord if not send it bak for the warranty cause it looks to be fine apart from the pull cord so just replace the pull cord bro ok

could be a card issue perhaps to rich turn in the screw just a tad and see if that helps I'm looking at the needle on top and it seems a bit to rich turn in a couple turns and charge you igniter until the igniter is warm then try it other then that I'm not to sure it could be many things

Dude get a hair-dryer or a heat gun and heat that engine up. New motors tend to pinch the piston a bit. One minute of heat will loosen everything up. And prime that bitch til you see fuel entering the carb through the line. Hold your finger over the exhaust tip and pull it 3 or 4 times that will prime it. Make sure you got fresh batteries in that glow stick!

just try over priming it somtimes thats the problem not enough fuel but if it still dosent start i would sugges taking it to the store u bought it from and getting them to take a look at it i could tell u the problem but i cant see the engine in real time. =D

Ya well er... if you knew so much u would know that you have to set the idle so it doesnt close up when you brake... its called tuning.. :/ and my firestorm 10t pullstart was stiff when new, just tug it, it'll loosen

normally when the pullstart becomes hard to pull it means that u have flooded it and it is creating compression inside the engine. But i noticed in this video that u had NO glowplug which means the pullstart should be atleast easier to pull. Maybe it is because it is new, what I would do is put a drop of after run oil in the combustion chamber and then a drop in the carb, that should lube things up a little. Tip the car to its side and pull on the pullstart to unflood the engine.

ok if you can get it to start then and if it gos off on its onwn two thangs look at the remot and if it has dils that you tern tern thos down to 0 on all of them and if that dos not woork start your car and by the engen thar is idil speed screww tern it down until it stopos and if that dos not woork you are scrood

That happens when you get a new car. The pull starts is very hard to pull. Hold the car down and pull it short and fast. (when the glow plug is in.)
