just an idea, lower your seat, it will get you in a better position once you start moving to 16th notes with one hand, and 32nd all around, but it also helps once you get on a real kit.

let me give you two tips:

1. sit closer to the drum kit, so you´re legs are at a 90° corner

2. let the whole foot on the bass drum pedal / hihat pedal.
