  • Your friend/client is very pretty! great tutorial! Wonderful voice!

  • Thank you so much Sara for this really interesting and teaching tutorial, never worked with tutorials( lazy) and now I feel smarter ;) thank you!

  • i love your voice! i think im inlove!

  • I have Photoshop Elements 10 and it doesn't give me the option to Apply Image. What now?

  • @lace1123 Get the full Adobe Photoshop ;) Unfortunately, with the cheaper price attached to Photoshop Elements comes limited things that can be done in the program.

  • brilliant tutorial, Sara.

  • You have a really nice voice that makes the tutorial easy to watch :D

  • Very natural beautiful looking skin :)

Thx so much for this tutorial, ive been looking for a nice and simple way to make the skin look natural and instead of fake magazine looking skin.

Keep up the good work :D

  • Do you know how to do this on GIMP? It's similar to Photoshop but I can't do the apply image thing for the texture.

  • @InvisibleVoices16 I have never used GIMP before. However, if something like this can be done with GIMP, I'm sure there's a YouTube video about it somewhere ;)

  • @sarakiesling Okay thanks anyway, for now I'll stick to the healing tool :)

  • your awsome..

  • Thanks for the help! :D

  • Really nice, Amazaing... Thanks

  • Very nice! I love that the skin texture is there and not merely airbrushed away!

  • this is a great tutorial i wanted to know what camera settings did you take the picture and what lense did you use?

  • @vikar15 Canon 5D Mark II, 85mm f/1.8. ISO200, f/2.5, 1/160. Natural light. :)

  • Your voice is more beautiful than your work!!!

  • You're just great!!! Awesome job!

  • Seriously this is awesome!!! Cant wait to try some of these techniques!!!

  • Best tut i've watched so far!!!

  • This is the most relaxing tutorial Ive ever seen.

Love your voice as I love your technique!

    very informative Tnks!

  • i can't get the texture layer. i have cs3 but i can't find the patch tool. the lasso tool is the closest thing i can find to it

  • @indepdanc If you right click on your spot healing tool, it comes up in a little menu.

  • awesome job love the simplicity of it all

  • very nice tutorial: Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  • very nice

  • cute voice :). but your video lacks some information. the settings are different for 8bit and 16 bit images. although it is important to set the tools to sample: current layer.

  • Hi Sara! I like your work flow and adapt some of your techniques. Nice Tutorial :)

  • lol track pad! i did that for about two years, then got an intuso 4 med... best decision of my life, no more middle and index knuckle cramps!

  • @barehandedbearhunter I'll have to give my tablet another try one of these days. I just hate the feeling of holding a pen, and I HATE drawing! It's so much easier/more comfortable to just use my fingertips!

  • @sarakiesling i mean you cant hate drawing! we have photographs because of paintings/ drawings i mean not everyone is good at it, but it makes selections so much easier!!! and patch tool! ahhh so much less energy

  • you are good at this, but your explaining it as like everyone knows where everything is, and how to do it... you're too fast... isn't this supposed to teach people, not confuse? Otherwise amazing work, just slow down a bit. :)

  • @Gerganabg1 The great thing about video tutorials is that you can pause, go back, go forward, etc. ;)

  • Nice video! :) very different from everything i've seen already! :)

  • I am investing in a photoshop program finally ... do you mind making a recommendation of which version is best for beauty re-touch? Most appreciated.

  • great tutorial....love it

  • omg i love this thank you

  • This is a brilliant tutorial lovely voice, good non-distracting music, straight to the point and well explained.Thank you!.

    More Please.

  • Great tutorial! Thank you!

  • excellent tutorial

    nice voice

u can tell me plz the name song

    thanks

  • @Engeldwarven It is called "Siren" by pg.lost :)

  • I seriously question the sanity of the individual who disliked this. This technique is so much better than what I was doing before! Adios, healing tool, haha.

  • Thank you so much!! I know actually understand what the frequency separation does :)

  • wow this was awesome :) i'll take this onboard for the next portrait i do for flickr :)

  • Is this photo shop cs5 or element. I tried in element 6 couldn't get the texture layer. It would be helpful if you add the software version used in the description. Kudos! It's a well done video tutorial.

  • @mudharan @kiimberrlyy I am using Photoshop CS3!

  • What photoshop do you use? Because i cant do the whole texture layer on mine :(.

  • make more videos :D subscribed!

  • :) thanks for sharing. I love all of your work<33

  • how long does it take to retouch a whole photoshoot? *in general*

  • @mfgonzalezz It definitely depends on the type of photos! Since this was a headshot, the face is obviously more detailed than, say, a full body shot. I also shoot primarily natural light, and typically at f/1.4-2.0, which minimizes the amount of detail overall. Whereas, shooting with strobes at f/16...you'll be seeing every single line, pore, and blemish! I can spend anywhere between two minutes and a couple hours on a skin retouching on a single photo!

  • this was super helpful thanks!

  • This was awesome!

  • love your voice

  • This is a really great tutorial! This image is stunning and these techniques are really useful :)

  • Thank you! I love your work, please keep it up. :)

  • this is great work! get a 50 dollar bamboo pen pad.. your editing will be so much easier and less cramping in the hands. im so glad i got mine. AMAZING WORK OTHERWISE!!!

  • @Ksjunn2o9b I've actually had a Bamboo tablet for a couple years but I hate the feeling of holding a pen or pencil (I hate drawing & writing, even signing my name), so that's why I stick to my trackpad ;)

  • <3

  • this def beats the pause-n-play method i was having to do on the casey carlson speed edit! thanks, and you have a very nice voice, was happy to hear it :)

  • graciias por el dato! :)

  • oh wow, this helped so much!

  • okay, I started with cheap programs that weren't able to do all that, so I always had to do workarounds. Thanks for showing us and now that I know how to use that program more properly I'm going to change the way I edit my photos for flickr :)

  • thanks sarah <3

  • This makes those 3 hours I spent the other day working out how you edited a complete waste of time. I will fight michaelradien for you any day.

  • Hey Sara, it's Jose. Great vid, one quick thing I wanted to tell you was in the vid at 6:19 you have the warning pop-up and say I hate when that happens, which I do as well. If you simply check the box in the lower left corner next time it comes up, it will never dare show its face on your screen again ;).

  • I have a crush on you.

  • First comment yay this is Billy Pham btw. Happy bday :D
