i am currently building a custom cx500 one of a kind and i was just wondering how you start the engine out of the frame ..mostly dealing with the wiring...

mmm ; D sounds healthy man. I love the CX sounds, especially the blower like whine off the water pump... Its odd, every CX I've ever had or seen, all sound slightly different, and are all customed different. I swear I've never seen 2 IDENTICAL Cx's .. lol

Looks like a silverwing engine to me too.. I had a an 85 Gl500...It was silver and blue

sounds good, this engine is obviously from a cx500 line. dont wreck it. btw tighten the rockers to about 15FT lbs. that will rid you of the knocking in idle

my cx650('83) has a knocking sound when it reaches 3-4k rpm. Is it true that when you open the pipes, you have to adjust the carburetors? just asking

They may need to be rejetted...The carbs should always be checked after an exhaust change...
