Pretty sure he uses a crybaby for the main melody part (ie. the part he plays at the beginning/end and between some verses).

For the solos he's probably using a Keeley Katanna, which is basically a clean boost with some overdrive. He may or may not also be using an Ibanez Tubescreamer and/or a Boss Blues Driver.

Unfortunately the biggest factor in his sound on this song (and most songs, as far as that goes) is going to be his amp. And he's got about a million and some of them are worth upperwards of ten grand. I think he usually records with Dumble amps, but live he might settle for some kind of old/reissued Fender? Let's say a '65 Reverb... which was likely built for him by the Fender Custom Shop, if it's a reissue.

Although he's using the poly octave generator pumped through mild chorus and a compressor, you can also replicate that effect with some degree of success (depending on the quality and style of your pickups) with the digitech RP2000 and your choice of external flanger. Can't use the digi flanger because you need that effect setting to get the toned down octave stack.

To all the bass-players: Isn't DeLa the one doing the slap in the line? Does the keyboard do this live? Look at 00:52. He plays normal fingerstyle at the same time you hear a pop.

I thought Pino *did* do it on the Continuum record, it sounds pretty P-bass to me. The whole song has a slightly "muted" sound, so maybe the bass is tweaked so it's hard to get out the high end of the slap like in the recording. Awesome song, by the way.
