  • I just saw this on HDNET and it said 2011. Oh well, it's still killer! These guys defend BAND!

  • Stevie was supposed to sing this oriignally but she showed up late on the day they were going to record it...she walked in and they had Tom singing it just to see what it sounded like. She became IRATE and stormed out and thus lost the song. I loved watching her 'get it' at the end!

  • :)

  • woW wOW WOW! I LOVE it you have this remarkable music video! IT is like the world's best video of all time! One of my favorite songs of all time! THNX for capturing it! I hope this music last forever!

  • I don't know why but tom petty reminds me of that neighbor kid next door with the drum set and the electric guitar practicing after school :-p

  • by far one of my favorites, add stevie to the mix and its over

  • You can get the whole concert on you tube. i used the you tube downloader to put it on my pc

  • Tom Petty said it's about cocaine. Stevie Nicks & Dave Stewart have never slept together to my knowledge. Dave did the keyboard on it and was in the video.. Tom wrote the song.

  • @tompettygirl77 They had a little tryst in the mid-80's right when Stevie and Joe Walsh broke up. Dave wrote the song with the intention of giving it to Stevie, but when they got to the studio, there's a couple different variations on what happened but regardless, Tom started working on it with him and wrote the lyrics, and after that Stevie was like, "How am I gonna write something better than Tom Petty?" So she let Tom have the song, fired Jimmy Iovine, and was like, sorry Dave..

  • so awesome

  • Is there a gatorville DVD ?

  • everyone gets boner over U2 I would go to see this over them anyday

  • Stevie's dancing never fails to make me smile, she is incredible

  • I will take these two 60 something talented as hell performers over most of the shit that comes out today. Legends never die. Shit dries up and goes away, like most of the performers today.

  • wowww the dislike bar is invisible. no one can dislike these legends.

  • Wow.

  • Is that Laurence Fishburne on drums?

  • @Pimpmasterjazz That's Steve Ferrone.

  • Cool song..

  • chills ... whoa ... chills

    the hand claps ... the whoa-ah's ...

    then the strobe effect

    wow

    somethin' else totally!

    t/y for the tube

  • @JustAintthatWay My sentiments EXACTLY!!!!

  • Let's hope my date from hell hears this..Don't come around here NO more! ;)

  • HEAVEN? A Ricenbacker, Tom Petty and Stivie Nicks (O_O) LOVE IT! ! !

  • hahaha, mike at 1:45

  • Awsome!

  • this song fits so well how i am feeling today, thank you.

  • The world is a better place because of magic people like Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks

  • I crack up when Stevie starts dancing with the tambourine lol

  • Petty's songs never get old.

  • this is great to see Stevie having such a good time w/ some different tunes, it must get tiring doing the same songs all the time w/ FM & even her solo stuff..she always is first to jump in & sing some great harmonies w/ any band she knows..

  • Since I'm all metal and hardrock I never really took the time to listen to Tom Petty before (I do know Stevie from Fleetwood Mac) but this is just a whole other level..

    AMAZING!!!

  • Wow.

  • Wow. The ending is great. Love it. And on top of that, Stevie is backup singer. Super.

  • long live T.P i got Steve Ferrones drums sticks 3 times baby! He gave them to me. And the 3rd time was this year at the A.C.C arena!

  • greatest live ending hands down

  • This song is so good live..

  • this song is so freakin awesome

  • 3 people missed the "thumbs up" icon.

  • I get a boner every time I hear that ending

  • wow....:-)

  • My two favourite artists - why can't they both tour together over in the U.K. How fab would that be. Common Stevie and Tom have a think about it. PLEASE!!!!!!!

  • The best song from Tom. Awesome and heartbreaking...

  • Stevie started this song when she broke up with Joe Walsh. She was pretty despondent and just kept singing "Don't Come Around Here No More" and that was it. Dave Stewart was at a party at her house right after the breakup and he has commented on how fragile she seemed at the time. Tom Petty and Dave finished the lyrics and melody after she gave the song to them.

  • SWEET POST......THANK YOU!!

  • Great stuff! Thanks for posting!!

  • Stevie goes ape shit with that tambourine... that's so awesome.

  • Rock icons...doesnt get any better than this

  • I can't stop listening to him...and Stevie!!!

  • wow they can rock it still!!! They got it still!! My generation needs to see what its like to rock out!!!!!

  • So into Tom Petty at the moment. Great Performance by him and Stevie - good song too for telling people to "Take a Hike" Great Post.

  • Heard him in gainesville he, the man

  • im huge fan of both musicians and any one that knows tom petty would know that he is the nost humblest and kindest and gentlest man living , all legends have wanted to sing with him such as stevie , george harrison , roy orbison , dave stewart , he once watched his whole house with every possession he owned burn to the ground in frount of him and sat on the hill with his wife and daughter , calm as , he is an extroidinary man with an amazing tallent

  • @carleyrocks1 100% agree, he seems like probably the nicest "celebrity" that I can think of. And an amazingly talented person. He can write a song in 5 minutes that becomes a hit.

I plan on taking my wife and kids to see him this summer, they both love him.

  • This is my favorite Tom Petty song of all time. And Stevie is the beautiful cherry on top. :-)

  • @Brunoincali Couldn't agree with you more about Stevie being the Cherry.

I love so much of Tom hard to pick fav :)

  • If you watch the video of this song, Tom is dressed as the Mad Hatter. I think the Alice is Stevie. Check out The Other Side of the Mirror and a song "Alice" on that album. She writes, "You cannot tell a gypsy that she is no longer a member. I become a deadly weapon now." Think of the song, "I need to know." She was a bit tweaked then, said she went crazy. I believe she had a relationship with Petty, major problems, then this song. Now all is forgiven.

  • Stephanie Lynn Nicks <33333

  • What a combination of talents - they are really close friends in real life. Love Petty's voice -so raw so real.

  • What a crowd pleasing concert!

Did Stevie write that song about Lindsey??

  • tp wrote it.

  • Thanks.

  • I believe it was a collaboration between Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Tom Petty, Stewart wrote the basics of it after a night of Passion with Stevie Nicks.

  • @rockchick80s. Really? Never knew that. Puts an other slant on a great song!

  • @rockchick80s Does Stevie nicks know this?

  • @rockchick80s People can believe what people believe, but of all the lovers Stevie has mentioned, and there are a few, she has never said her and Tom were anything other very good friends. I trust what she says.

  • @rockchick80s No not really, there was no night of passion with Stevie and Dave S...love how these "Rumours" start....This was a song Dave S wrote for STEVIE but somehow Tom Petty recorded the vocals on a night when they were rehearsing it. The next day Stevie found out and got angry and fired the people responsible for it. She LET Tom Petty have the song.

  • nothing to do with lindsey.

    according to dave stewart

he heard stevie tell joe walsh "dont come around here no more" and that's how it started.

  • @ How can u write such a comment u haven't been there!

  • I love the piano!!!

  • Wow, great video! Love it.

  • i think stevie inspired this song.

love her at the end. :) and of course love TP. :)

  • what a treat for those who were present!!!!

    WOWSERS!!!!

    TFS!!~:)

  • Stevie rocks at the end! I´ve never seen this video, thanks.
