Yes you are right, this is not the traditional/authentic way to play - It would be nice if they learned the correct technique and incorporated it as well.
But on the other hand it's nice to see that the culture is being handed down. Also looking at the green screen and I don't see anything stating where it comes from .
That is not the authentic way to play tamboo bamboo; but hey - culture is free to share, so new ideas will emerge. However, the green screen in the background should indicate that the art form was developed in Trinidad & Tobago.
