I'm a newb and wanting to do this myself...how come in some vids people don't use the Trany Fluid dipstick hole to refill but instead there's another bolt on the bottom of engine that people are running a hose to.too fil?. Filling from dipstick seems like this is an easy job. Is this on certain years/model? thanks! Great vid
dude u just saved me 75 dollars if the dealership did it,thanks and i'd never drove a foriegn car before so the location threw me and how to drain it,and the shit was so simple thanks for saving me money.
since my manual 2003 element doesnt have a torque converter. SHOULD i just do the fluid change one time or should i repeat 3times every hundred or so miles to clean it out b/c its gone 130k miles WITHOUT transmission fluid drain/fill. please let me know
@DtoWnSux1 changing your fluid a few times within a few hundred miles isnt going to cause your tranny to slip. youre in a way basically just wasting fluid, but not since its so dirty from not being changed in forever
@LerdoBurgerPimp since your pilot is a different gen, its possible. id buy 4 and keep checking the dip stick, you can always return the unused qt if necessary
What kind of fluid are you using???? Or recommend?

@AmbassadorRoc genuine honda fluid, always

@area859 this will work on the 03-07 pilot for sure. there are different ways to fill the tranny, i just find the dip stick hole the easiest

@DtoWnSux1 id go for the repeat 3 times since your oil must be superrrr dirty over 130k
nukem384 7 months ago
@nukem384 u think doing this will cause trany to start slipping? or is that just if u flush it or drove it really rough?
