Thank you, this really helps a lot. Could you tell me how long it took before your rabbit would sit next to you and let you pet him/her out of the cage? I have had my bunny for about a week and we've sat on the floor with her every day for about 45 mins but she won't come anywhere near us, she seems completely uninterested in us. She'll let me stroke her in the cage and will take a treat from me while in her cage but not when I let her out. Thanks :)

@psg1504 Lulu let me right away. She always loved attention. Mocha still doesn't like me touching him/petting him and I have had him for 2 1/2 years. It really depends on what your rabbit is like and what she is comfortable with.

@psg1504 I can pet my bun all the time just he was abandoned by his other owner so i can never pick him up with his permission.But hes always around me when i let him out of his cage.hes very curious and likes me a lot but when i actually pick him up to put him in his cage he gets petrefied.

@DryBones0248 Your bunny is very lucky to have such an understanding owner :) Mine is still not interested in being touched at all, I think she just sort of tolerates me when I pet her in her cage and she won't let me anywhere near her outside of her cage! I'm hoping she'll come round eventually, with plenty of patience.

Hi, I have 2 Netherland dwarf rabbits who are 7 months and I have had them since they where 9 weeks. They won't let me stroke them much and never pick them up. Is there any hope of me holding them?

@LeeP88 Most all rabbits HATE to be picked up. When they get picked up they feel as if a predator is about to eat them.

@101rabbits I have a new zealand white, pink eyes and she has all charcoal paws and her ears are also gray. She is 10 months old this month, and her name is Chica. I have watched a few of your videos, and have learned more about rabbits and how to build a condo, I love yours on how you have it set up for your rabbits. Currently I have an 18" X 36" cage, and it's 18" tall, so I am goint to build Chica an upper level to lay on, with the lower part underneith to hide away.

@Guy4431 actually you can get a water bottle too but if you choose to get a water dish then you have to clean it out at least twice a day because of all the fur bedding (if you use bedding) and possibly poos. Even though drinking out of water dishes are their instinct, it would be a lot easier for you and a lot safer for them because if water get in their water and they swallow it, it can cause a blockage!

@TheWhiteMage745 U have to get a cage water bowl food bowl bedding chew toy need a chew toy because of teeth litter box Gromming stuff nail clippers If u want to take him or she out of the cage rabbit poof u place rabbits like to chew wires and other things that are around u house Need hay lots and lots of hay Need pellets two U can give it two carrots a week Give it one grape per day Feed it parsley as a treat if u want Do not bath u rabbit

I just got a pet rabbit from a friend, she's apparently(since i looked up rabbit breeds till i found one that fit her description) an Elfin, i've had her for a few days and she lets me pet her and everything, and she let me carry her inside when i got her from my friend(she was in a soft blanket if that means anything) i'm trying very hard to learn about bunnies, if anyone has some advice please tell me :D

@0042484katie Rabbits can't have baths unless they have an illness called poopy butt. I will try to do a video on how to care for your bunny though!

Sorry, just to correct myself, i didn't mean that they don't like being petted much, a better description would be handled much. They seem to only tolerate that, but generally want to be left alone. So the pet wouldn't really want anything to do with me? I'd love to know what it is about bunnies that make them rewarding for a pet owner to have. Its funny how they look cuddly but don't really like being cuddled.

Ive read about all the things rabbits DONT like & absolutely HATE (all usually emphasized with CAPS to drive the point home), but wat DO they like from humans apart from bein fed? If they dont really like bein picked up or petted much or u havin ur hand in its cage, & if u have to treat them with kid gloves all the time because dey run away from u if u approach it instead of run to u, what is the reward in havin this pet? Where is the show of affection pet owners like to have from their pets?

@amandagigi123 Rabbits are very territorial over their cage. I would only put your hand in her/his cage when they are not in it.

@xkovinzx1 If he was fighting with your cat when you picked him up/touched him. He most likely did not know he was scratching you. When they are fighting they bite or scratch who ever gets in your way, Don't take it personally, He most likely didn't know it was you.

@purplellamarider Mocha ignores me. :P different rabbits have different personalities. Not all rabbits loved to be pet and snuggled. some rabbits are better off with you sitting on the couch watching them play. Just depends on the rabbit :P

@Regina4751 Rabbits HATE to be picked up and HATE it when people stick their hand in their cage. Try to feed her and clean her cage ect. when she isn't in the cage. Also, Let her come up to you. Just sit on the floor quietly reading a book or something and let her clime on you. Don't try and pet her when she comes up, just let her smell you and get used to you first.

@AfckingA Most rabbits hate to be picked up. Including my rabbits. Its best to not pick them up unless you have to. I have a video on how to pick up your rabbit if you have to pick them up :) Hope this helped!
