Keep up the good work Ian, as you always have! from when the likes of myself Paul CJ Fielding Frank Sanderson and Andy Simpson Danced in the Highland room to some of your unknown tracks, as all three of us Spinners. with you playing some stunning tracks! So for all the wonderful memories Ian may I just say Thank You.
Good luck with it Ian! As I Paul CJ Fielding and Frank Sanderson both from Preston attended the highland room as you asked us to dance to new tracks that you were trying out! with the likes of Andy Simpson, whilst you played some fantastic tunes, the 3of us just kept spinning!
Many Thanks Ian for all your time and effort it was really appreciated, especially in our young and developing lives.

Disco is not dead it just went to sleep for a while so people could grow up and learn to appreciate it all over again!
Do you remember those idiots smashing vinyl in New York declaring Disco was dead FOOL'S! Good music is food for the soul people really felt good about themselves after a night at the Disco back then, its great your trying to bring back that feeling. There's to much negativity in a lot of the "music" now. Lets have love some happiness back in the world. "Keep on reaching"
Centre City's Online Shop is open now! We are very happy to announce that the website is finally up and running after a lot of obstacles. Please go to Ian's official website (dot co dot uk) - and if you like our music, please support us! Thx, Ian Levine and Søren
Ian-I Am Listening To This FANTASTIC Cd While I Type This....A Wonderful & Joyous Cd Full Of Terrific Performances!!!! A Huge THANK YOU To ALL Involved!!! Thanks Ian aka "Mr. Midas"
I am so so appreciative of your support. I only wish there were more people like you. This is the reason why I make these records, and believe me, it isn't easy.
To everyone who loves these songs - please support this wonderful album by buying a copy so we can keep Ian recording! I'll sure love a Northern Soul 2008 as well.
Just ordered it off amazon...trailer sounds great....have also posted a couple of links on Paul Wellers website....seeing as his latest offeringwith Andy Lewis could have been a northern sould classic, thought the fans may like some of this too..... good luck....!
Thankyou from the bottom of my heart. I wish there were a few more like you around. You, Soren, Razelma, Phillip, Andy, NRGFan and a few others, are the reason why I take as much care as I do with this music. You're my inspiration.
Hi, I'm Søren from Denmark. I hope that people who like this music will join up to receive "Reaching For The Best - The IAN LEVINE Newsletter". I'm doing a regular e-mail newsletter for people who are fans of Ian Levine's music, just like myself. If you too are a genuine fan of his productions, and you love seeing these videos, then send me a message with your e-mail address and I'll add you to the list. It's all free, it's with Ian's full co-operation, so please join in!
Really looking forward to buying a copy! Bought Ebony Alleyne's album which is brilliant so I know this is gonna be brilliant too! Good luck Ian, you deserve a lot of credit for all the hard work you have put in..
You have no idea how it feels after four months of solid hard work, writing and producing twenty four new songs and shooting a video for each, and fighting back against the purists, to hear praise like this. It's like manna from heaven. So thankyou. And this trailer has had 1200 views in just one week already. I just hope they all buy it.
You can count me in - tho I couldn't see it on amazon uk to order in advance but i will make that call to the 0208 number. Thank God you are still making the best music out there.
I have already seen that it can be ordered from Amazon, Play. Com, Dusty Grooves, and SoulMusic. Com, as well as ordering from Pinnacle. If anyone can't get it, please phone Passion Music, on 0208 867 9361.
Having been a fan for many years, I am really looking forward to this new release. This is a project that deserves recognition and success! I hope I will be able to view the DVD. Will it be a Region 0?
The DVD will indeed be region zero, so will play on any region, but it's in PAL, not NTSC, so therefore may not play on all American DVD players. But it's not encoded for any one region, and anyone that can play UK Pal sytem DVDs will be able to play it anywhere in the world, for example, Australia uses PAL but they're Region 4 and England is Region 2. It will certainly play in Australia.
Incidentally, this is why the DVD is being treated as a giveaway. The album with 24 brand new tracks is a bargain in itself, the DVD is just the extra icing on the cake. I hope people in America will still buy it for the CD, even if they can't play the DVD.
Hey, I'm a young buck but I'm into the music. Can't wait to purchase this. DVD sounds like a great feature too. Love watching performances. Detroit is still MoTown. Get At Me - MyDetroitLive
as everyone knows most northern soul is made up of artists who didnt make it big, it will be intresting to see if these artists make it and how the old northern fans will accept it , hopefully it will take off ,no doubt the haters will have there say but GOOD LUCK to you i say & all the best
I didn't make this album for the haters. I made it for people who still have joy and optimism in their hearts, and for people who, when they hear great music, get the same kind of feeling I got at fourteen years old when I heard the Motown classics for the first time.
I really hope this album will get all the praise it deserves and become such a seller that it will be the first of many Centre City Northern Soul releases. You are truly a trouper, Ian, please never give up making records this good!
Ian, what a MAGNIFICENT presentation of your new album, and what a STUNNING selection of singers and vintage tracks. There's not one single weak track here, all the songs are vibrant, soulful and so classic sounding, so unlike the soul-less bland modern R&B trash which has more to do with over-singing than feeling. Now your album is what I consider SOUL.
You've been producing since 1975, and here we are in 2007 - 32 years later - with two of your very best works to date - the EBONY ALLEYNE album finally seeing the light of day, and NORTHERN SOUL 2007 with the novelty concept of a DVD with the visual performances.
My ONE favourite track above them all must be Paul Esmond Hazell's "Back To Basics", this is a truly hypnotic track. It's closely followed by Vanessa Hayne's "Leaving The Scene Of The Crime", Corine Armstrong's "Lightning Strike", Ebony Alleyne's "Mister Magic Man" and her wonderful rendition of "Have A Little Faith In Me", and Angelo Starr's stomping "Stand On My Two Feet".
