Wonder why Lynch didnt manage to play an acoustic guitar to make the whole set acoustic. Pretty disapponitng since thats whats tests the songs. Dont know what could had happened, nice cover though
@wipers86 maybe the little 59 of seymour duncan according to what i know the screaming demon was made based in that mic adding more edgy and the scream flavour so can be that L.59 or the Little screaming demon for strats prototype...
Some people always talk about Don and George, but you can watch on this video that Jeff Pilson has a kicking voice, he writes, plays bass, guitar and piano and Mick Brown sings great too!!!!
@fedevil Dokken's voice is gone, Pilson's is much better. Shame. Pilson and Lynch, had they started out without Dokken, would have been much better off. Dokken is a limited talent (See any high voiced 80's metal singer). Pilson has only gotten better. Lynch couldn't get any better.
This is a great example of how the two need each other. Lynch and Don, amazing musicians alone, when combined are legendary. They as musicians and we as fans, were cheated by ego of what music the combination would have made. They are both best known for what they did in only a few short years, together. Perhaps Bon Jovi would be a good model for bands to mold from. Its alright to make your own music, but to be truly great, they must all ultimately learn to work as one. They still sound great!
@idotroger88 I have been in the company of Richie and Jon and they went through rough times ~ they are the exception ~ had Dokken not broken up ~ we would have all had 5 to 10 more years of great music ~
I love Don's solo music and The Lynch Mob ~ but neither one was Dokken ~
This cd is perfect from start to finish....I have listened to this cd endless times and find something new I like each time i listen. As close to perfection as you will ever find.
Yep, 26 years later, no one on the planet has ever successfully NOTE for NOTED this solo. And, btw, close doesn't count. Lynch does walk on water!!!!!!!!!
and how would you know? have you heard every single guitar player on the planet attempt this solo? no. besides its not that hard...lynch has much more difficult solos to play than this. So 26 years later...i guarantee you there is someone on this planet who can and has played this note for note. just cuz YOU havent heard it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. either way...lynch is a pimp. keep rockin with docken!
@mookierodz dont know everthing but know that, and ya we are an opening band, like every other band that starts out ........ but not for long....... and you heard it more than once cuz thats the rumor....... suppose you think it rod stewart who passed out at gig and pumped his stomache and found semen ... it was al stewart....... but thats the rumor i heard.... but i sure didnt post it
hey no offense but doesn't the intro here and the song by scorpions send me an angel are similar??
who stole or was inspired by the other; scorpions or dokken??
because i know not every thing is stolen, songs are not total copy they could have been inspired by one another... but who wrote it first?? please someone reply....
it's a shame what happend to this band! each musician is very talented...and george lynch had rock star syndrome and caused a big fued with don! and it led to them breaking up!
Anybody ever hear any of Don's solo albums? They are soft and, for lack of a better word, pretty. His solo music has no balls. After hearing Don's solo stuff it's quite obvious George Dokken's music it's balls.
Sorry Dude, What I MENT to say was "Under Lock and Key". According to an interview, if I remember right, He BROKE into Aston Pitman's Place and STOLE his Plexi's to do that album.

Amen and I love many other guitarist, but George's style grows on you like a rash.....lol..I think if more gave his music a chance"beyond the mtv video crap" or tried to play it,then maybe they'd get it!Well said Lynch friend! No one can change my mind and he'll always be the best in my opinion as well!....What mtv gave us or the music industry saying these are the songs everyone will love, was not the best songs off their cd's!
Lynch is GOD! I don't care what anyone says and the best thing is he's still out there Jamming when others couldn't and now doing construction or working at Burger King.....
I dont think it will happen I'm a Dokken fan loved them since i was a little thing. I did my research on them some time ago, you probably already know they had multiple fights. Because of different reasons, one was Don drinking all the time, and just them having feuds all the time. And now Lynch has his own things to do, with The Dojo. But yeah i dont think it would happen.
omfg!! its so funny how they do an acoustic version of the song and its all mellow and than george comes out and scares the crap out of them with the solo
Why do you call this "crap"? Almost everything that Dokken recorded was written on guitar, acoustic or otherwise. Pete Townsend said once that good songs translate to acoustic. This sounds pretty good to me.
