  • Did that Lord not melt away already!

  • Thats one of the best version I have heard on the net!

  • vow! what a rendering! Divine! Though the usual version we hear is in raga Shyama, he composed it in Charukesi giving a completely different flavor to the raga. Being his disciple I know him closely. He is the gem of a person and very humble. He did my son's vidyarambham more than 20 years ago. On that day while I was waiting in his hall with my wife, daughter and son, he came and started pushing the big sofa himself to make more space! I stopped him in the middle and did it. That is Dr. BMK!

  • So, Beautiful.. one single word 'divine'.

  • True to the spirit of the Kriti the singer is addressing himself..so intimately...spiritually..

O my heart/mind roam around the lord...

    thats it...

so earnestly delivered to the psyche..

    guruvugaaruu vandanam!

  • HAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. WHO THE BLOODY HELL CAME UP WITH THIS RUMOR?!?! Dr. Balamuralikrishna? A womanizer? Are you high? And all you others for taking it seriously, believing it, and commenting on it. Shame shame, puppy shame.

  • aaru padum ithupole...!!!!!!!!!!!!! great

  • Here is what I have to say as an atheist and a person who is prepared to judge.

Dr. BMK's singing makes me question my atheism. His singing is divine -- it shows what humans can achieve when they are at their best. In other words this is how gods must sing. There is a sense of perfection, beauty, mathematical exactitude and artistic passion all combined in one sweet rendition.

The rest that people say about him are just rumors and they say more about the rumor monger than Dr. BMK.

  • I feel that you tube is a place to enjoy the feel of music and Balamuraliji is a gem which we have in our generation.. Enjoy the music and dont criticize an wonderful artist like him.. And plz leave their personal and private life out of this.. You have no rights to talk about other's morality and values.. Be mature on a public forum like this and use your freedom of expression in a mature manner...

  • hello guys,

I would like to tell few things to all those guys who say mangalampalli is a womanizer and a egoistic person.

Before u comment on his character do u guys know him that intimately??

I can say he is not an alcoholic and a womanizer bcoz he is my grand paa

Lets try to be Humans with positive attitude.

    Talking about ego,

Don't you have ego...??? Mangalampalli garu is also a human just like all of us but, with a tinge of GOD'S GIFT.

Let's try to be polite to elders.

  • @artssfriend

I do not care what he is as long as he can sing like that. No body can sing with emotion like that. Talented people have EGO which comes with the territory

  • @artssfriend Pl dont care for those comments, they are nothing but street dogs, simply ignore it. we should be proud, in our regime we are witnessing and enjoying the talent of great incarnation like worshipful Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. we are greatful to the almighty because he has given us birth in his regime.

  • @devaragam: so what can u sing like him?

  • devaragam,

Every musician should have inner manodharmam? wow. What about Rasikas? Dont we have the civil responsibility to enjoy the music and leave the personal lives out of it? I feel the lives of artists is such a tragedy. The first need to dedicate their life to do master music and then more to satisfy whims of their whining listeners. Get a life.

  • @devaragam

you say "This singer has no values or morality.Maybe he is great as a singer. He has lot of ego(massive),arrogance, drinks wine and is a womanizer"

so?.. what do u want us to do? worship you? you may not do all the above yet u are receiving scorn from ppl here.. wat does that tell you? keep your damn views to urself and your unfortunate wife

I who listens mainly english rock music listen 2 carnatic only when balamuralikrishna sings... and if what you say is true he is a rock star!

  • Exceptional musician who can bring the feelings of the song which inspire everyone in the audience which no one can do justice, it is truth.

The audience leave the concert with a feeling that ever remain in their minds for eternal, like a Moon and Stars in the night's sky.

    SR

  • Divine !

  • @devaragam why should we mix someone's professional and personal life?

he is a great musician , and to people who love music only that matters,

and to someone who mentioned atheists, ur assumption abt us is completely wrong :-)

  • Who cares what is he personally. We are enjoying his music, Stop being stupid and enjoy. If a courier delivers the packet, focus on the packet, not on the courier. We are lucky to have such a voice around. Stop worshipping him or criticizing him, Just enjoy his music.

We indians have this silly habit of worshippping the messengers but not the message.

  • @TheRaghuv well said

  • @TheRaghuv Reminds of an adage: Fools look at the finger when the finger points to heavens

(Check out Emily movie - for the meaning of it)

  • nadabrahma............................

  • Musical greats like Dr BMK come rare, may be once in a century. No one can come close to him in vidwat or creativity. He is a true son of Goddess Saraswati. We are fortunate to live in times when he is alive and still doing great work. We will never be able to see another genius like him. Stop these stupid comments against him and worship/enjoy his music.

  • @devaragam - I know that you are right! My grand dad knew him very well, and has said exactly what you have said.

  • @intustock Bala murali krishna used to live in the same street as we used to in vijayawada and my cousins used to rent a portion of his house. We never heard such things.. stop this bogus...

  • Very appropriate picturization perfect reflecting the mood of the song and musician

    Great

  • chaala baaga chesaru ..video editing adbutham..

  • I have heard of this song sung in the Raga Sama but here the way it has been sung by DrMBK has the shade of Charukesi.-I need clarification

  • Its pure charukesi, you are right.

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks Hydrabadee for your response. But Sir, sorry, this particular video rendition is definitely not in raag Shyama. The resembles some janya raga of the 26th Mela Charukesi. Kindly review my request and clarify. Thanks

  • is it raga sama?

  • Excellant rendition by this ever great singer. Can you please post the name of the raga this song is sung.

  • Hyderabadee

Thanks a lot for posting this. Awesome rendition and excellent visuals.

Please present more and more of these.

  • Devaragam Your name should have been Dayyamkullu

  • @kalakendram Why bring atheists here instead of replying to Mr Devaragam

  • @devaragam .. Please do not spit venom on a great man like Bala Murali Krishna garu. You attain nothing assassinating his character!!! God bless you.

  • how do you know?

  • How do you know about him all these?
