talking about cheese, i just stubled upon a cheesey space marines captain build. lighting claw for power weapon and rerolls to wound. plasma pistol for some range attack to weaken the opponent, and finally, you give him artificer armour for the 2up save and digital weapons. all captains should have digital weapons. that extra attack gives you the number of attacks you would get from 2 claws, but you still can use a pistol. that is the cheeseyness of it. more abilities for less points.

Scatter Laser is the best BS 3 weapon for Eldar. 4 shots gives you a good chance to hit on bs 3, then str 6 gives you a high change to wound. you might need the starcannons on space marines, just remember cover saves nerfs that gun =/

5 Banshees won't do very much against Brother Captain James' super unit.

For EML vs Starcannon use the magical math-hammer to decide.

Also, I agree with West966's comment. If you only want more str 6 shots take scatter lasers.

If you want more str 6 shots use Scatter Lasers not Star Cannons. You don't need the low AP to target vehicles.

i find it funny. all of a sudden, people are refining their lists for 5th eddition. i never played any other edition, but i know the main changes between them. so, i have a fair army for 5th, they have great armys for 4th, and so, our armys are even, until now.i am soooo going nidzilla

haha, a jet bike army player complaining about about cheese lists. Always remember, in war its never the enemys job to make sure things are fair, its your job to use what you have to counter him or her.

I have and for the points not really worth it. Prisms are easy to shake and blow the cannon off to prevent it from shooting. Yes you can link the three shots, but...

I actually find my prism more of a tank shocker and contester these days. not to say 3 doesn't work..

Fritz be careful dual assaulting with the banshees and the seer council (especially with so few banshees). Given your example of assault termies any smart player will after making their saves turn around and own the banshees and potentially causing your council a Ld test and maybe even fall back. Granted termies cant sweeping advance but that doesnt mean something else might not chase u away.

Also in the case where you had your banshees and council in CC with the DC+ Dante, according to the rules on pg 41 "Assault Results" Youd have 2 dice in an attempt to stop them running (1 for the banshees one for the council).

This is a nice little rule you may have missed ;)
