this is the far superior version. the original vocals are not bad tho but compared to messiah his voice sounds cheesy. i prefer this production aswell.
Metal still means stuff and is still a kickass lifestyle, its just the music thats coming out new isnt the same as this. Think about it.. bands cant get any heavier, or more technical, or faster in what they play because its all been done before. Metals coming to the point where everythings gonna have to be reinvented :)
@CosmicSeaOvFlesh i disagree. there's still fresh, new sounds coming out, you just have to dig deep. also, dont forget the story of the US patent officer who retired at the end of the 19th century, thinking that everything that could be invented had been. just when we think something has gone as far as it can go, it suprises us, and i dont think metal is any different!
@poeticreasoning38 Metal still means stuff today. You just gotta look hard for the ungerground stuff, and not the Nu Metal garbage they plague the radio with.
@DarkBlackPoizon oh dear! does this mean we're going to argue pointlessly in the comments!!?!? cause i have a very well written arguement against your point of view. (sarcasm)

I remember cutting school to get this album. The good ole days, I listen to all types of metal. I am old school. Metal meant something back then.

@Concept300
I completely agree, Längqvist was just amazing. Though Marcolm is pretty bad ass, too. Cheers!

Sanny1064 10 months ago
@Sanny1064 Its Doom Metal so of course it does! And its Traditional Doom Metal at that! Doom Metal in general is hugely influenced by Black Sabbath.

@Sanny1064 extremely bad.

I think Messiah is God, simply God, for me Messiah means Doom \m/

With messiah, the lyrics are much more understandable, but some of the atmosphere and agony is lost, I think the two versions are equal..

Thanks for reuploading it. Better than the Epicus Doomicus Metallicus version, I think.
