@northernmantis This sounds PERFECT. i'm going to try and make mine sound the same. I just have one question... did you have the mid piping custom built after the x pype?
@AlexStang20 Originally, I started with the FRPP dual exhaust kit. It came with the X-pipe, mid pipes, and GTA mufflers.
Later, I swapped out the GTA's for the Pype Bombs, and had the race bullets cut into the mid pipes.
You could have a shop custom make the mid pipes, though. Or you might be able to get those from Pypes. The FRPP parts do fit better than the Pypes parts.
@MrRushifyIt Got it from the local Ford dealer parts department. It's the Ford accessories GT/CS rear fascia/bumper. It comes with the bumper and hardware for installation. You should be able to get it for less than list price. I didn't have to pay shipping because they just get it with their regular parts deliveries. The GT/CS bumper is the same as the GT500 bumper. You just leave the bottom side unpainted.
I recognize this car from a few pics at American Muscle...PLEASE tell me where you got your wheels at, and how much they were?!? I've been dieing to find them since I saw them.
@AgentFrosty Got those from OE Wheels before they became a sponsor on Mustang Forums. Don't remember the exact price, but they were the best deal around. Pretty close to the prices shown on their website. The wheels are the deep dish Cobra R with rivets. Gunmetal finish. OEW has pics of my car on their site. Tell them you are from Mustang Forums and "Mr. Ugly" told you where the wheels came from. They'll probably give you a decent price. Mine are the 18x9&10 staggered with Nitto 555's, btw. Hth!
@northernmantis I found them, and they've got a GREAT price on them. I do have another question for you though...What's the durability like on these wheels? The last pair of wheels I purchased a few years back lasted 3 months before a pothole on these marvelous Missouri Interstates destroyed both passenger-side rims in a very glorious, yet scary as hell explosion of air and shards of aluminum. Been skittish on buying wheels ever since, obviously. So, how well do these hold up?
@AgentFrosty Well, I've had these for a couple years now without problem. Here in CA, highway 880 is pretty torn up, and I drive on it every day to and from work. I'm running HR race springs too, so the suspension is pretty stiff. I do make a point to be careful where I drive, and how fast. But even a coworker broke his factory BMW rims on a pot hole here. Just depends on how fast you hit a bad spot.
@northernmantis OK, great. You are helping me alot. Which ones are considered the resonators? I appreciate it big time. I am getting headers and full catted X pipe added, maybe resonators or ProChamber. Did you give a listen to my V6 Mustang yet? should be able to click my name.
dudeee make more vids, like drive bys or somthing, im doing this same thing but never new how they sounded, only thing im doing different is im doing H-pipe with the m-80 mufflers
@BlownTPI383 They're cut into the midpipes just ahead of the rear axle. You can get a little bit up into the transmission tunnel for clearance. Pypes makes a full pype bomb exhaust with midpipe resonators now. I don't know how theirs sounds though.
Wow that sounds INCREDIBLE, especially for a v6..being a v6 owner i know how hard it is to get an aggressive sound without either a drone down low or raspy up top..good job love it.
@BKRmustangV6 That's the GT/CS rear fascia from Ford. If you get it from the dealer, you don't have to pay shipping. You should be able to get it for less than list price if you talk to the parts manager. Also, get the Ford Accessories part. It's less expensive than the replacement bumper part number.

So you have four mufflers?? Two Dynomax Bullits and two Pype Bombs?
robb15033 9 months ago
@robb15033 They are pretty much just resonators. All 4 are straight through without baffles.

so im really looking into these axlebacks. but did you notice any power loss?
ive heard that the naturally aspirated v6 engine does not have enough back pressure with straight through mufflers
x2gen070 1 year ago
@x2gen070 Don't know regarding naturally aspirated. I'm running an intercooled supercharger on mine. Couldn't tell between GTA mufflers and this setup.
