This is sad; the Beach Boys were so good because of that sweet tone and amazing harmonies. They had a truly soulful sound that came from polished, crafted singing; not just an old man trying to dust off the old pipes again for use 200 years later. If you're gonna sing the Beach Boys (even if you were one of them) you have to sing their songs how they sing their songs

Those of you who are moaning about Mike Love have clearly not seen a recent Beach Boys show. They are still phenomenal and blow the socks off 99 percent of modern bands.

I saw Brian and his band do this song live and they nailed it. Great singing, sound and the tempo was great. This is just embarrassing.

We all know Brian Wilson isn't the best performer these days but alot of that has to do with his former drug use, mental issues and is age. I don't know what Mike Loves excuse is for being so shit.

Wonderful performance, still standing strong.

As long as they can make the crowd happy, they should perform. Television doesn't capture this feeling of happiness as well as the crowd does during a live performance.

This was the worst performance of this song I have ever heard Mike was way off, the drummer was playing way to slow and Bruce his mic was turned up far to loud and he was singing off key. This wasn't they're day for sure so glad they've improved since then and gotten a few new and better band members.

I am a HUGE fan of the original version, and upon reading the comments here, thought I would hate this version, but after listening to it, it really isn't that bad. I kinda dig it. Listen, lets just appreciate the fact that these guys are still out there working and creating happiness during the summer months.They are NOT a bunch of lazy asses, that's for sure.How many bands that came out in the fifties when they did are still working? Think about that.

Brian Wilson and his band have more of the Beach Boys sound more than the Beach Boys do now. Pretty sad that after Carl died that the band splintered the way it did.

There were many great memories, tho at this point, Mike Love should be home retired, or working behind the scenes in some capacity. I understand how it may be difficult to quit the fans/crowds, but still, its inevitable & the time has come.

The sound did seem a little off here, but I don't think Mike can be blamed for that. Actually, I've always thought people are far too hard on him. Instead of continuing to tour, and especially at his age, he could be home retired. However, he's still out there, along with Bruce, singing all of the songs so many of us have loved for years. He deserves some credit for that.

Ok Mike is not so superb as I am used to hear, but anyways it's always great to see Mike & Group. The problem was with the mix here. I saw them in Denmark last week and they werre absolutely terrific. I really recommend everyone that like Surf/fun/california music and go to the concerts. Anyway, Mike sings better than Brian. You also have John Cowsill that is No. 1 nowadays.

not in my experience. I've seen mike for free several times. Although i haven't seen Brian (i want to) unless he pays you to see him, it's not cheaper.

Well, if you've seen them for free, you certainly did not purchase tickets. Brian does free concerts, too. I've purchased front-row tickets for both Brian and the Beach Boys at the same location and Beach Boys tickets are about 15/20 dollars more expensive.
