The short version was always pretty neutral but this full version evokes sadness. I can just imagine this being used to great effect in an unhappy ending series finale. Right at 0:53 Walter pulls the trigger, killing the increasingly meddlesome Hank, the puff of smoke from the title sequence foreshadowing the biggest full measure he will ever have to make to protect his family.

The way I see it this song perfectly sumps up Walt's character, it begins with him getting the information that he'll die of cancer, so he starts to break bad and drives himself into deeper and deeper shit. At some point he just completly loses it and is no longer the man he used to be, he broke bad, probably achieved some of the things he has dreamt of, such as making the millions he deserved and finally getting recognition. But the end is clear, he'll do great damage to tons of people and die.

@NeverWasTheDude Sound engineer here. It only takes a bit of research to know that anything above 480p doesn't affect the sound quality as Youtube is video focused. You can't even upload surround sound on Youtube, but you can get 4K videos. So yeah you're right, there is no point of this being 1080p.

The sports player comparison is merely a symbol of the degeneration. It's VERY telling that we, as a society, are willing to pay a sports star millions a year..But we bitch and protest over paying high amounts for medical technology that has increased our life span by decades.

Bench rider in the NFL, 355k a year.

Even based on free market economics, it doesn't make sense, because a Duke level neurological attending is much, much rarer than an NFL player. However, doctors salary is controlled by the AMA (Because we as a society want to make sure they aren't outrageous.) But there is no control on Football.

Guess football just needs it more.

@rjboni While there is some truth in that, you skirted my main point. The NFL makes roughly SIX BILLION in revenue each year. What they pay the players isn't even a fraction of that. When tax deductible, not to mention all the charities they're obliged to donate to, the end result is a huge cash flow to people who can really use it. I consider it well worth it to pay ridiculous salaries if that keeps the players happy, the viewers happy, and a whole lot of other people happy.

The show's very core is about that to some extent. The first scene, where a kid owns a corvette is a symbolism of the absence of the merit based mentality that was part of the original U.S.'s core principles.
