anybody know which tripod head that is on Trey's setup? I used it once with a friend. Was awesome, but have forgotten the brand. Thanks! Great videos, Trey!
Of course SLT is not the future, since it's really stupid to have a huge block only for AF. It's obvious they should invent newer, better algorithms without CDAF disadvantages which will help to outperform PDAF approach.
However, the SLT may be the future if the BLT wouldn't be so complicated and heavy to manage. Also, PPO should really be a feature available on any device as AF and DAFC really benefit from them. Also this will definitely help to outperform the PDAF approach.
Trey is certainly a person to listen to, knows his stuff and is not negative in any way. Very refreshing to hear and absorb and thankfully doesn't waste time with uuummms, literally's and liiiike's. Thanks Trey, loving your tutorials and your work and you made me understand HDR.
@bestmochalatte I just used a Canon Vixia MF32 camcorder with a wide angle adapter, and the accessory microphone Canon makes for it, along with a Bogen monopod.
Great video Scobleizer! Looks like it was a fun outing.
@stuckincustoms - Talking about the future of camera's and the 3rd Gen, do you think that SLT is a more realistic step than mirrorless systems?). I think/hope we will see full frame mirrorless camera's in the next year. On a side note, I think one thing that makes it so easy to listen to you is how well spoken you are, and your careful articulation is refreshing in modern society... unlike my grammar.
I love to see long videos like this with just conversation from people that understand light, setting up shots, and of course cool new tech. Thanks Robert!
Also I could listen to Trey talking ALL DAY. The last 10 minutes of the video were just great to listen to. Such a deep knowledge and understanding of how things work. Trey is truly a visionary, not just a photographer.
haha, horseless buggies.. epic!

I don't think I've ever left a comment on youtube before but I just wanted to say that Trey blew my fragile little mind with what he said.

Loved the conversation with Trey. So much enjoyable snippets to latch on to there :) And I like his jacket. Norway FTW. Maybe he's half norwegian :)
