I like how the endings pretty ambiguos, i mean, it leaves it pretty open to whether he gets clean or not... Earlier Renton says 'there are final hits, and there are final hits, which was this to be?' So even though the ending seems hopeful, its left open to what kind of final hit Renton makes. I think this film outlines pretty well how much smack fucks up your life.
