  • Think I commented on this before saying well done but no one "gets" the laid back groove of Bonzo. Don't know where my comment went.

Anyway, looked at it again and realised I'd missed your finish, The end especially was top work young man, excellent. Don't get many drummers with that real "feel". Sorta reminded me of Mitch Mitchell with the Hendrix Experience at Monterey 1967. Or Keith Moon at the same festival.

  • You got a load of groove man and a lovely sounding kit.

    Keep it up mate ;-)

  • i wouldn't necessarily back off on the fills but i would start with little simple ones and let them build as the song goes. I think thats what made John Bonham the god of a drummer that he was. never the less that was sick as fuck.

  • Great job, man.

  • Yo Amazing job on the cover

  • @ThreeDogShow Amen.

  • Really appreciate the fills, really like your style aswell. Keep up the spice!

  • i really like the fills :D

  • Very nice groove and well played, and don't listen to the internet drummers who say lay off the fills... playing the drums is also an expression of ones creative thoughts and freedoms. The fills make it your groove, not Bonzo's..Keep it up, oh and bye the way to everyone who has anything but nice comments to add I would bet you my Jeep you couldn't do half as well. If there were any real drummers leaving bad comments they should know that Bonzo's groove seems simple but it is a technical piece!

  • so many nit pickers on youtube drumming vids. Great job man, with more practice ill be half as good as you.

  • Love to see the younger generation that appreciates real music...carry that torch brother!

  • Great Groove man, fantastic cover!

    Subscribed.

  • bass drum is wrong, you are missing the ghost notes on the snare, other than that, they are good, and lay off the fills :P

  • @jaqua524 drumming isnt always about playing it 100% to the original, but being able to add your own flavor to every song you play

  • dang dude!

  • I saw some of your covers and thought you were good, then when I saw you covered Led Zepp, my respect for you soared. Nice job man.

  • Nice little move at 5:18!

  • Great groove man. Only suggestion I would have is to lay off the fills a little bit.

  • @AngryNinja9000 Yeah a lot of times when I do I know it'd be better to lay off the fills sometimes, but I really like making it mine, and find it kind of boring to play it just like the original, cause it doesn't take any creative thinking . So I kind of add some flavor I guess.

  • @COOP3RDRUMM3R Yeah dude, I can definitely respect that. It's all about having fun and working your chops. Keep playing bro!

  • Putting in work on this one!

  • dude those high hats are so crisp sounding what kind are they?

  • @The95AngelDust They're my special blend ;) lol Naah, but I do something very unique with my Hats, I use two bottom cymbals to bring out a more defined and crisp sound as you described. The top hat is a Bottom Sabian B8 Pro, and the bottom is a Bottom Zildjian ZBT, so as you can tell neither are expensive cymbals, but it makes a nice combination :D

  • @COOP3RDRUMM3R Damn i thought they were gonna be some 200$ hats but thats pretty cool what you did

btw what is your recording setup? your drums always sound beast in your videos

  • One word... AWESOME!
