can you enter wi-fi internet with this phone? i can't

Hi there, it only consumes data when you are actually opening internet applications. It does not consume 3G data in idle model like Android OS.

how do I switch 3G off, it otherwise eats all my prepaidcash without me doing anything. :-(

I just got the phone, on my G1 from tmobile it ate true my cash very fast
