for people that are new to sculpting its a very good guide of the flow of sculpting the main head parts! i sculpted some heads and characters in sculptris and its amazing, but when i think of retopologising it seems to me like a double work! so i just model lowpoly with mirror and subdiv modifiers in Blender and use blender sculpting tools from time to time for help!but i love to sculpt with sculptris - just for fun!
@golemkonty most of the artist model a low poly mesh and then they sculpt over that and after they are done sculpting they retopologise that so is not a double work...if you want you work to look good you must retopologise it ....in blender the multiresolution modifire is much better for sculpting than the subdib modifier
@stefanocelsi yes you re right, but for me it seems to be a better workflow to make a perfect model with modeling tools in blender and with the perfect loopflow, already made perfect for animation and then add a multires and sculpt on! then, when im ready with sculpting I use a duplicate of the original mesh with perfect loops and i use the shrinkwrap modifier to project it over the sculpted mesh again - this way i never did a retopo in my life because the shrinkwrap modifier does it for me;)
