  • I am sorry for your loss despite the fact I am a Conservative I can tell you that the lady who did that is beyond nuts and she has issues obviously....

  • (cont'd) we've been having MBA's deciding that for the last 30 years. I don't know about ya'll (yes I'm southern) but If I get sick I would rather have my medical care overseen by a doctor than a business man. There is something wrong with the fact that delinquent medical bills have surpassed credit cards as the #1 reason why people declare bankruptcy in the US. If you get sick you should not lose everything you own.

  • If anything would make my wife consider quitting being a physician it wouldn't be health reform it would be the continued demands put on her and her colleages to be business people and not physicians. The fact is in this country 30 to 40 years ago most of the top brass in hospital management were doctors. Over the last three decades that trend has eroded now most of the management are MBA's. When Hannity and Limbaugh warn us how we don't want beaurocrats deciding what kind of care we get (cont)

  • I just became aware of your story accidently going through youtube. My deepest condolences for your loss. I find your strength and restraint when speaking out at the town hall meeting inspiring. I also want to extend my deepest condolences to your son. As a newly married man myself I can't imagine the grief of losing his beloved wife. You are in my prayers.

  • @tbone2872 Thank you. It's been a very difficult time for us. My son has not yet recovered and I think it will be a long time until we all heal. I became an activist once Jen died and fought for health care. My goal has been that never again can a pregnant woman be turned away from getting insurance because pregnancy was considered a preexisting condition. This never should have happened in the US. Again, thank you.

  • @TheChi910 Thank you for your kind reply. How health insurance is unatainable for so many in the wealthiest country on the planet is unfathomable to me. If it it wasn't for my wife being a doctor and her ability to put me on her insurance then health insurance would be out of the question for me as well. And by the way no matter how many times Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh say Doctors are all against heathcare reform my wife and most of her colleagues are all for it. God bless.

  • @tbone2872 I know you are correct. I have spoken with many doctors and they will tell you our current health care system does not work. Hard to believe that there are those who would begrudge others life saving health care. I had a bad night last night. I made the mistake of listening to the song that is part of the memorial to Jenny...not good. We were forced to make that memorial for Jenny after many attacks from the teapartypatriots saying she was made up for political reasons

  • @TheChi910 So true. My Wife often says to me that it's ironic that she went to med school to become a secretary (not a derogatory statement towards secretaries). She means that a disproportionate amount of her time is not used administering medical care to patients but filling out paperwork and and dealing with the arduous administrative structure of the hospital she works at.

  • I am so sorry for your loss, and I am so sorry that there are so many awful, soulless people in the world who have no respect for ordinary human grief. Thank you for speaking out, but I hate it so much for you that you have been put in a position of having to do so. I didn't know Jenny but I feel sure she'd be proud of your strength.

  • Thanks for this beautiful, profound and moving video, for showing and sharing the great love that imbued these precious moments. She was a beautiful young woman, both physically and spiritually, it shows. You all have my heartfelt condolences - may your grieving enrich you and leave you stronger and even more loving than you all so obviously are.

  • The people that yelled at you and heckled you will answer for their cruelty. I was in a crowd like that last year at a McCain rally. It was chilling, but nothing like what you experienced. You are in my prayers.

  • Hell is too good for those sleazy teabaggers. Karma will come back and give them the kick in the pants they deserve.

  • It's quite unsettling how ugly some people's personalities become when politics are brought into the mix. You have my condolences, and hope no more ugliness is brought into your world by people like the Tea Partyers
