  • Keep Rokken' With Dokken' \m/

  • From a lyrical standpoint it's fucking badass. A great metal song. The vocals aren't bad it's just Don sadly don't have the range anymore. He used to have great pipes.

  • This is not the original line up, its Jon Levin on guitar he is what george used to be! i am thankful for this line up, Great tunes!!!

    Very sad, though.

  • my band are pretty extremely inspired by Dokken & Lynch Mob if anybody gives a shit, lol -Joe-

  • if only don could still sing...

  • @gojira931 he can !!! and he said he was going to take a surgery on his throat to cut off nodes from his vocal cords

  • @taffer33 ...He needs to because he is ripping off his fans by wanking every song he sings...its sad...and he was one of my inspirations...He just seems lazy and not into what hes doing...or he would have done what it takes to stay healthy...Look at the shit Jon Oliva has been through...and his voice is BETTER now than 30 years ago..even live!!!!!!!!!

  • @halford3256 Its because of his stupid smoking. Why would a singer with such a great voice smoke???

  • I can't believe I missed this. Just what I've been waiting to hear from them again. Hair metal needs to comeback this song proves it !

  • bottom line........ Dokken really is a bad ass band!!!!! this song rocks out. alway's did enjoy Dokken. they go back some ways. =)

  • This and the whole Lighting Strikes Again album would sound undescribably perfect if Don could still hit the high notes :\

  • I love that song!! I have listened like 10 times!

  • Dokken is my favorite!!!! george lynch is my favorite!!!! come on eighties here we come!!!!!!!!

  • Dokken,Hardline,L.A. Guns,Slaughter,Whitesnake,Lynch Mob,Skid Row,Southgang,Ratt,Firehouse......music will never be the same,today's music SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dokken is back to geather with lynch! BACK FOR THE ATTACK!!!!

  • it sound like it from the 80's dokken for life

  • Comment removed

  • I like his song. Dokken is one of my favorite bands. I've seen them in concert twice. The first time I seen them, I was front in the row and the ticket was $6.00. Lol. Was a good show. But Don's voice isn't what i used to be. ha

  • Hell Yeah...

  • Jon levin is truly an amazing guitarist fuck today's pop music seriously where is the talent in computer generated music bring back hair metal

  • @demonhunter1600 bring back hair metal it never went anywhere there is proof /\

  • @motleycrue24 yeah it did & will never be see thsame.

its good to see the older bands still recording but it will not capture the magic it had.

i bet your young, but im glad some younger people like 80's Metal.

  • Ban all the pussy music and BRING BACK THE METAL BANDS AGAIN!

  • @JoeCoolShow

    message from God- DONE!

  • Rocking in the way only they can...... incredible !!!!!

  • WOW! I am TOTALLY impressed! Still sounds great and this song sounds like just what I would expect and want to hear. Going to see them Sept. 24 in Jackpot Nevada. Going to friggin ROCK! Can't wait!

  • @idahoanit4now hey how was the show?, i saw them saturday night and it was absolutly awsome

  • i wish lynch and don would put theyer shit aside and write at least 1 more album and do one otur so i could c em live haha wish i was born in the 80s :/

  • Wow! I have to say, Don dokken's voice sounds great. You have to give man credit when credit is due. His voice in the the higher end got damaged from all the years giving his fans his all with all that high octive sound and maybe have gotten palops on his vocal cords. but on this new song, he must of had some repairs done on his throat because he sounds great and so does the band. I love you guys. Come back with vengence.....

  • wow impressive. gonna have to look for this disc.

  • Niiiiice!

    ROKKEN WITH DOKKEN

  • Awesome song, Dokken still has a great fucking sound. I don't care if Don's voice is not there sometimes THEY STILL ROCK. August 4th syracuse inner harbor Dokken yeah baby YEAH!

I like the new Vince Neil song Tattoos n Tequila and saw him in syracuse July 8th 2010

  • Comment removed

  • dokken is the best band ever....don is a rock god..goin to see them aug 4 at syracuse inner harbor...long live DOKKEN

  • it's not dokken with out lynch. i don't give a fuck if levin is a good guitarist it's jst not lynch

  • This is a GREAT FUCKING SONG THANKS guys!

  • no hair metal died for a very good reason, the good bands can come back, but I can name 30 bands that should stay dead. Bands like trixter, slick toxic, banshee, kix, vixen, white lion, poison, firehouse, slaughter, steeleheart, all these band totally suck, and I'm glad their careers went into the toilet where they belonged. Guns, Crue, Van Halen, WASP, Circus of Power, queensryche is all there should have been,

  • @deadsinktohell i do disagree with a couple of those bands if vixen had there original singer i believe they would still be a fantastic band, firehouse definetly deserve not to be dead cause they have produced some incredible tracks and can still hit it live to this day plus they have a very suprisingly massive following in the south east asia/middle eastern area, and steelheart simply for mike matejvic's incredible vocals despite a lack lustre modern direction, but i guess thats my opinion =)

  • @deadsinktohell guns and wasp and van halen aren't hair metal you fuck. and all the bands you said suck are amazing white lion andtrixter and two of the best guitarist in the genre

  • Hey Everyone, GEORGE LYNCH & DON DOKKEN are back together appearing on THAT METAL SHOW saturday night on VH1 Classic !!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nick98Nick98

Bad news... George released this statement less then a month ago...

"We feel it’s important to let folks know there will be no Dokken reunion in the foreseeable future, if ever. This is Don’s decision, despite Jeff’s and my best intentions and efforts over the past few years to make this happen in good faith. My apologies to VH1, Eddie Trunk, Steve Strange and all the fans who were pulling for this to happen."

  • @Nick98Nick98 I love Don but he has lost his range !! You can tell in the last 10 years old he changed his singing

  • @Nick98Nick98 Hey its 10 months into the future and youre still a dooche.

  • I've heard the re-recorded tracks and might I say barf. This kicks ass though. Why not just do a nice album with the original lineup and call it good?

  • This is a great Fuc*ing song. I hope Don has cleaned up his act and gets it together. He has looked and sounded pretty rough in recent footage... I love Dokken.

  • THIS IS AN FANTASTIC SONG GREAT TO HEAR GOOD TUNES IN 10´S !!!!

  • This is a killer tune... Levin is doing great in teh context of Dokken... he is playin his ass off... sounds like George but then again Dokken only sounds like Dokken this way.

  • Favorite part 1:12-1:34. The guitar sound awesome and Don sounds like he's gettin his voice back

  • This song ROCKS!!!!!!! I LOVE Dokken! I have been a fan since 8th grade when I first heard "Into the Fire"! I hope they play on for a long time to come!!

  • DOKKEN Fuckin rules

  • OMG!I haven't listen anything to Dokken except now,and I didn't notice that it stood:New Single 2009.I thought this was something from the 80's!!:D :D :D Awesome!!!

  • First Motley Crue then Ratt , L.A. Guns now Dokken, who's next to release a new album after 20 years Poison, Warrant,Y&T, Winger lol

  • @northlander30 Winger has, its called karma it kick ass. Y&T has a new album too

  • @Hate2Vengence See what I mean they are all trying to make a comeback now! Which is great I think.

  • @northlander30 Dokken has actually been releasing albums since the eighties. This isn't their first in "20 years" by any stretch of the imagination.

  • @northlander30 Y&T HAVE RELEASED AN NEW RECORD

  • Sounds great Hair Metal is coming back because people just want to rock and have fun, as for George Lynch yes he will be missed but this guy sounds great what can you do if Lynch does not want to be a part of Dokken move on

  • the beginning sounds like "still of the night" by whitesnake.

  • NO body can replace the man himself Mr. George Lynch period. Dokken with George Lynch rule, but without Lynch Dokken SUCK period. Ratt and Dokken rule.

  • greatests hit part 2 plu new single

  • Awesome! Dokken never fail to impress me! This is a million times better than the shit played today! :)

  • GREAT SONG! I love Dokken! I hope they make a music video, therefore, together we can get this song in the charts! I wish they would show more Dokken stuff on TV, they are fantastic!

  • HOw theses guys never headlined arenas in the states i will never figure out. They were forever opening for everyone

  • @Nick98Nick98 almost over

  • I can't stand Jon Levin's style. Every song on the last album had the same guitar licks. He wants (or Don wants him) to be Lynch so bad he (they) can taste it, but he is a very limited shredder. IMO.

  • @mrv1967 I'm sorry but i cant agree, he is a really good guitarists and not to limited but i do agree he will never replace Lynch, Lynch will always be remembered as Dokkens "real" guitarists, but again i did see Dokken 2 years ago with Levin and he is very good.

  • @mrv1967 Lynch is my hero, but Levin is a more than capable shredder..watch the Charvel booth videos of him at the NAMM show in January. Dude can wail.

  • Downloaded this tune the day it came out at the end of January...still crankin it. Great song. Don sounds excellent here, singing with a lot of power & confidence. I also love Levin's lead breaks throughout the song. Very kickass tune.

  • fucking come to the uk

  • fallenembers ... Yeah, music - Exactly. There are those of us still who want more than a clever beat, and need to hear an artist who doesn't have to have the word 'Gaga' in their name, for promotion

  • emello - I kinda disagree ... it sounds more modern than their classic stuff ... more bottom end, and a melody that is a bit different, for them. Yeah I think though he'll never sing like he used to Don's voice is doing a bit of a comeback (from his horrible live performances of last year)

  • @Padarack1 This sounds just like the "Erase Slate" album. It sounds different from the "Lightning Strikes Again" album to me and totally kicks ass!

  • Now this is what i call MUSIC.... much much better than the new crap of today.

    rock on

  • I can't believe this is a new song lol, there's just no fricken way. It sounds exactly like music from 25 yrs ago. This is the best new song I've heard since the end of hair metal. Hair metal needs to come back!

  • You're damn right

  • @emello4you

    hair metal is back

i mean look at all of the stuff that has came out of hair metal, for instance look at ratt's new cd infestation, its already #30 on the charts and its moving up and its a matter of time when everyone of this stuff like rap and crappy music will die down on mtv and it will be 80s all over again, i didn't grow up in the 80s but i love all of the music from that era.

  • @emello4you When did it end?

  • @emello4you I didn't get the memo that it ended. After going to Rocklahoma 09 and Rock N America 2010, I don't see how it's not still here.

  • @emello4you

I voted up on this, We need to stir up the hair metal. I am with everyone who is in this. I wished I had a guitar to learn some shreds to help please myself and others. I love metal and will die a heavy metal listener. Peace to all

  • @emello4you YOU´RE ABSOLUTLY TRUE SOUND´S LIKE 25 YEAR´S AGO ONE OF THE BEST NEW SONG´S BY AN OLD BAND : CHECK ACCEPT NEW RECORD OUT SOUNDS BRILLIANT !!!

  • @77REVOLTFORAFRIKA77 ...That ACCEPT Album is the best music that has come out in 20 years!!!!!!!!!

  • @halford3256 IT´S SIMPLE AMAZING !!!

  • @emello4you Hair metal does need to come back. im only 15 and ya, i listen to dokken every morning before school and make it through the day because each song sets a certain mood for me

  • @emello4you Ummm... AutoTune

  • Respond to this video... But its still good!

  • Excellent song, Don has still got it, when it comes to studio albums.

  • Sorry to say this, but Don can't sing very good live, in studio he's best,...

  • wow! Doesn't remind you of Roy Khan????(or the opposite)??????

  • Great song Just saw dokken Sat. in San Antonio at the backstage live 3-20-2010. George Lynch Soul of we open up for dokken. George came out and played on the song tooth and nail. It was and awesome show. For all of you who don't think John Levin is any good you haven't seen him live he kick ass. Also lighting strikes is a great CD.

  • I can't get enough of this song !! Best new release I've heard in 20 years.....

  • I really don't think there's that much difference between them, man, though Lynch is the better of the two ... And he's a great composer, with a knack for great riffs ("Kiss Of Death" and "Burning Like A Flame", to name a couple) ... A new record may not match their 80s output but we should give it a chance, IMO. Don and George hate each other, the fact they're putting all that aside to do something, for us fans, is pretty kool

  • Yes, it is cool but I'm just saying not to expect another "Back For The Attack". Their eighties songs will forever be their greatest.

I think George Lynch is the best guitar player period and I mean as a whole. Levin is decent, but comparing him to Lynch is like comparing silver to platinum, not even close.

  • .. and Don found a great guitarist ... who can play George's solos, and riffs from the classic Dokken material, every night .. of COURSE the person's gonna sound a bit like George. You guitar 'purists' drive me nuts. (Furthermore he's not a flat-out "copycat" of Lynch ... go listen to the Hell To Pay and Lightning Strikes albums; he does have his own style, also)

  • Levin is decent on guitar, but he is no George Lynch. Anyway, I was going by Wikipedia who listed the original members are back together.

But apparently they haven't recorded anything yet. Whatever the case, Dokken may create some decent material, but none of it will compare to their fantastic eighties music.

  • Disagree it's sad John sounds a bit like George. Who f-ing cares?? The guitar playing on it is great! It's a great solo, and the song is really greasing everybody for the return of Lynch. Levin has served well, did a great job and will gracefully bow out. I believe Dokken will be writing/recording in late 2010, and on the road with a new record in 2011. Don sounds great here! And very healthy (unlike the first 2/3rds of 2009, at shows)

  • No you silly people, George is not back with Dokken. Not until 2011 at the earliest will they do a reunion if at all. As far as the guitar work on this song and the last couple of Dokken records without George, it's a very sad sad thing that Don has to find someone who copies George's style. That is why whoever is playing on those records and this single is a joke. Come up with your own style of playing and quit copying George. And as for Don, quit hiring copy cats.

  • Fantastic single! Reviving Dokken's eighties style!

  • Comment removed

  • yea this sounds like George Lynch, i really hope he's back in the band again, because this songs kicks ass, can't wait to hear the new album!!!

  • lynch is back!!

  • Does the guitar player sound familiar? This aint Jon Levin folks!!!!!

  • way to go Don ! sounds great !

  • wow...this is a great track! Don's voice sounds better than it has in recent times too.

  • agreed

  • @EyeOfTheTiger666 yeah i saw them a few months back and it really seemed like don was trying to sing his best

  • @EyeOfTheTiger666 Thats cause he is singing different

  • In early 2010 Dokken will be releasing "Greatest Hits 2" and in advance have released the new single "Almost Over". Wikipedia also shows George Lynch as back in the band as of 2010. Nice to see 80's rock bands rockin it out again

  • Rippin track. Levin just gets better and better!

  • It's not Levin. The original members are back!

  • @cheapcape It actually is Levin. The reunion will not start until 2011.

  • Great Track! It's on I-tunes...

  • Im not sure..this is one of 2 new tracks..on a re-recorded greatest hits..coming spring 2010

  • Cool song, and Jon Levin kicks ass on the guitar...

  • i cant wait to hear the new version of "Dream Warriors"

  • come to the fucking uk

  • This is the new song from dokken...featuring newly recorded versions of "Dream Warriors" and other dokken classics..due out spring 2010
