Cant fully explain it...The whole/totality of the work, the video...you are very generous in sharing all this (comments etc) like medicine for the soul.

Hello Jos, I was wondering if you would do a portrait video for us. You videos inspire me to try still life. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
I use masonite panels (waterproof). I ground them with 'golden' acrylic gesso (maybe I shouldnt) this sticks rather well to the smooth surface. On top of that I use 'pro-art' gesso (local art supplier here) which gives the surface a silky feel and makes it easier to create gradients.....
Thank you for posting these awesome videos! My painting technique is already noticably better just by studying your videos. I have one question-what surface do you paint on?
