yes, it's just that the car airbag sensor didnt detect it was a severe enough colision to deploy them.

yeah or the sensor got damaged before it send the signal to the airbag that could be it too or just a bad airbag that didnt work

most cars usually have the sensors located in the cabin, so them getting damaged is quite unlikely, and usually in an older car...

where the airbag sensors are located in the front bumper, or the chassis rails at the front,

when damaged, will set the airbag off.

also, faulty airbags are VERY rare,

usually the airbags are set to deploy over a certain amount of force, so in a small crash they dont go off, and you dont have to get your airbag replaced, aswell as your front bumper

I dont know what its like in finland, but in england, its the LAW to wear a seatbelt, and if your passengers dont wear their seatbelt, its the drivers responsibility, and the driver gets license points and a fine for it, if they get caught.

And a lot of people do.
