This guy's turbo put on about 100hp at the wheels on 4lbs boost untuned. I highly doubt that he's running less TQ than a Lightning since the stock FWTQ is 375ftlb on the pregeneration 5.7L Hemi. There's no way he gained 100hp at the wheels and less than 75ftlb TQ. How does that help?

@dbrown4870 Flywheel power and wheel power are a very different measurement. You are quoting flywheel power, he's quoting wheel power measured by a chassis dynomometer. The loss is quite dramatic with an auto transmission, transfer case, drive shaft and those heavy as hell 20" wheels.
@dbrown4870 that's at the flywheel. not tire, we a friend of mine, bought a quad cab, 05'. took it , to a drive on dyno and had 290 at tire i'm not sure where they got their numbers from.
The Hemis 345hp (or any factory HP rating for that matter) is "NET" HP. Measured at the flywheel, before taking into consideration the parasitic losses through the remaining driveline. So, actual stock "Wheel" HP would show a, roughly, 20% lower figure.
He speaks of his "new" Wheel HP with the turbo. 350 at the wheels would, (re-adding 20%), be ABOUT 400-415 NET a nice 55-70 HP gain over the 345 NET stock figure!
Although, I wonder about his stock 250 WHP figure. That's a 95HP difference!
maybe the engine in a stock ram is tuned differently than my 300c, but that stock has like 240...so i hope that ram doesnt lose almost 100hp to the wheels

not offered for 03 Ram. and their site says 45-50% gain. stock the Hemi Rams make ~250hp on local dyno so that would put them @ a 125 gain not 220hp. Plus after my truck was tuned I was putting out over 500hp to the wheels (I dropped 3 sec and gained over 20mph in the quarter)
What kind of water injection do you have? I have an Aqua-Mist Race Version that I snagged off the Syclone group buy about seven years ago, and have never used it. Plan to S/C one day so bought it in hope of using it lol. Maybe when I get around to tearing out that POS KRC engine and building a proper 408 and a Pro-Charger, I'll get to use my Water/Alky injection system....

Let's look at this; in 2003 was your Toyota or Nissan available? this was a preproduction kit so so I didn't have much money invested in it. This truck ran a 13.4 @ 105 mph at a high altitude track. Bring your Tundra to Albuquerque, you can stay at my house and let's see what you can run at this altitude.
Moving to Texas on the 12th, so won't be to far of a stretch. Have a couple more mods to do and I will be right there with you. Also I have a Titan, not a Tundra, just posted what the RSCB does, I do have a ton of vids with my Titan racing though.

i never said any stock titan vs. this truck STOCK would get spanked. even on the 20's. this truck ran 13.4 on 20's and stock tires. put some drag radials on it and it's running 12's.
Well of course a Stoct titan would get killed by a Turbo Hemi Ram, There is not even a Turbo Titan yet, and stillen's supercharger is junk, I am faster than the supercharged titans, and I don't have headers or cams yet. Stillen's supercharged Titan ran a 14.7, I am at the 14.3 mark. Both trucks are cool trucks and I like them both, just expected more out of the dodge even just pushing 4lbs of boost.
stock titan would get killed by this truck bone stock(no turbo). this truck can run the 1/4 in about 15 flat bone stock on 20's mid to upper 14's on stock 17' with the 3.92 stock gearing. don't get me wrong im not bashing titan's i'm just stating fact. i've seen stock king-cab titans run 15.6-15.7 1/4's which is still very respectable in a 1/2 ton.
i want this remote mount turbo. it runs less than 3 grand on ebay and is the easiest to install. less lag and also not intercooling is not must to get good gains.
You should educate yourself a little bit. Making full boost at 3500 rpm is pretty damn good. The SC uses 10hp for every psi you run on it. Thats 100hp that isn't making it to the ground at 10psi... thats a pretty big loss. SC have their place, but its really hard to beat a turbo when it comes to any street driven vehicle.
Stock for stock, mod for mod, the Titan beats the hemi. I have run quit a few of them. Also the every review has the Titan as faster stock. Don't get me wrong, I like the Dodge Rams, but I know both trucks, and the Titan hands down is faster stock, and responds better to mods. I raced a hemi with cams, headers, programmer, catback, cai, and he had drag radials, I beat him and do not have headers, cams, or a catback. Just a CAI, tuning software, and drag radials.
Cool. The track here usually opens in March. Then and when it closes in November are the best times to run as the heat and Density Air slow you down quit a bit in the summer.
all i am saying is stock vs. stock nisan titans have nothing on a regulr cab ram hemi as far as acceleration. they are slower to 60 and are slower in the 1/4. I'm not just talking out my ass either i'ved raced them. any car or truck can be made faster than another with mods or for that matter "drag radials". yes we all know that the quad cab hemi's are not very fast and yes i saw your vid.
Who says you cant stroke a motor for 5k? Anyhoo, you should still have an intercooler for an STS system, the air still goes right past the hot (exhaust) side of the turbo.

While I would rather not continue with the internet pissing match, I am still very interested to hear how psychogo3 got his claimed 523 rwhp with 5K. Because physics say without NOS, forced induction, increased displacement or really high revs, it is impossible to get the required oxygen to create that kind of power with the 5.7. He says he has no NOS or forced induction, the cost of stroking the motor wouldn't work in that budget, so unless you are revving 7000+ I don't see how it's possible.
I've been watching this from afar, and hope not to get in the middle of it. But I do agree with PSYCHOGO3, he's busted his ass building, has done all the homework, and looks as if he's done with you, as he stated. I've been a motor builder for years, and do believe him. And I know how selective I am with divulging my power recipes. Nice turbo by the way.
Ignoring the fact this was posted from his account, please forgive me for remaining skeptic with absolutely no information on the motor. The argument isn't whether he can get that power n/a, or that he wasn't skilled enough to build that kind of power, because I personally don't know him. My issue is he boasts it was done on a 5k budget, with little to no hours worked on it, which is impossible. It doesn't seem like he is done with anyone, it really seems like he has painted himself in a corner.
The point of the video wasn't to make smoke, leave black marks or display how much power it was or was not making. It was simply made so people could hear the turbo spooling and to sort of show people that I had a turbo on my truck, it was pretty rare back then. I think I was one of the first five to have a running Turbo Hemi Ram. This is an old video made back in 2004, the guys doing the turbos now are making a lot more power than i was.
When I was started modding my truck not much was available, you could make about 300hp NA (no heads, cams were offered, 6.1L wasn't out, heck Superchips had just released their programmer a few months before I installed the turbo) or use NOS and it seemed a of the guys were breaking trannys with the NOS. I wanted to try something different.
I added more info about the truck in the description. I sold this truck a couple of years ago but it was a lot of fun while I had it. Now I had a Subaru WRX that is quicker than my truck was and cost less. I like import and domestic vehicles, one is NOT better than the other they each have there pros and cons.

With a stock motor you can very safely run 8psi boost (lots of people run more) and that will give you around 450 rwhp, maybe think a bit b4 you comment.

Another example is saying he paid 8-10K for the turbo, thats the SRT 10 kit. The Hemi kit is under 6K for everything, he paid 8K for ALL his upgrades including suspension and stereo. 523 rwhp is great numbers, but NOS is a cheap way to inflate your hp. You can't compare price vs. performance because you're not counting what you will spend filling your bottles.
Get it now? And where did I ever mention nitrous? Maybe it was your mind playing those tricks on you again. If need be, I'll repeat myself again, then once more hoping you'll absorb it. My 523 is normally aspirated, no need for air ramming turbos or laughing gas. What are your numbers? Does the topper lift add any HP?

@dbrown4870 Flywheel power and wheel power are a very different measurement. You are quoting flywheel power, he's quoting wheel power measured by a chassis dynomometer. The loss is quite dramatic with an auto transmission, transfer case, drive shaft and those heavy as hell 20" wheels.

The Hemis 345hp (or any factory HP rating for that matter) is "NET" HP. Measured at the flywheel, before taking into consideration the parasitic losses through the remaining driveline. So, actual stock "Wheel" HP would show a, roughly, 20% lower figure.
He speaks of his "new" Wheel HP with the turbo. 350 at the wheels would, (re-adding 20%), be ABOUT 400-415 NET a nice 55-70 HP gain over the 345 NET stock figure!
Although, I wonder about his stock 250 WHP figure. That's a 95HP difference!

not offered for 03 Ram. and their site says 45-50% gain. stock the Hemi Rams make ~250hp on local dyno so that would put them @ a 125 gain not 220hp. Plus after my truck was tuned I was putting out over 500hp to the wheels (I dropped 3 sec and gained over 20mph in the quarter)

What kind of water injection do you have? I have an Aqua-Mist Race Version that I snagged off the Syclone group buy about seven years ago, and have never used it. Plan to S/C one day so bought it in hope of using it lol. Maybe when I get around to tearing out that POS KRC engine and building a proper 408 and a Pro-Charger, I'll get to use my Water/Alky injection system....

Let's look at this; in 2003 was your Toyota or Nissan available? this was a preproduction kit so so I didn't have much money invested in it. This truck ran a 13.4 @ 105 mph at a high altitude track. Bring your Tundra to Albuquerque, you can stay at my house and let's see what you can run at this altitude.

Well of course a Stoct titan would get killed by a Turbo Hemi Ram, There is not even a Turbo Titan yet, and stillen's supercharger is junk, I am faster than the supercharged titans, and I don't have headers or cams yet. Stillen's supercharged Titan ran a 14.7, I am at the 14.3 mark. Both trucks are cool trucks and I like them both, just expected more out of the dodge even just pushing 4lbs of boost.

stock titan would get killed by this truck bone stock(no turbo). this truck can run the 1/4 in about 15 flat bone stock on 20's mid to upper 14's on stock 17' with the 3.92 stock gearing. don't get me wrong im not bashing titan's i'm just stating fact. i've seen stock king-cab titans run 15.6-15.7 1/4's which is still very respectable in a 1/2 ton.

You should educate yourself a little bit. Making full boost at 3500 rpm is pretty damn good. The SC uses 10hp for every psi you run on it. Thats 100hp that isn't making it to the ground at 10psi... thats a pretty big loss. SC have their place, but its really hard to beat a turbo when it comes to any street driven vehicle.

Stock for stock, mod for mod, the Titan beats the hemi. I have run quit a few of them. Also the every review has the Titan as faster stock. Don't get me wrong, I like the Dodge Rams, but I know both trucks, and the Titan hands down is faster stock, and responds better to mods. I raced a hemi with cams, headers, programmer, catback, cai, and he had drag radials, I beat him and do not have headers, cams, or a catback. Just a CAI, tuning software, and drag radials.

Cool. The track here usually opens in March. Then and when it closes in November are the best times to run as the heat and Density Air slow you down quit a bit in the summer.

all i am saying is stock vs. stock nisan titans have nothing on a regulr cab ram hemi as far as acceleration. they are slower to 60 and are slower in the 1/4. I'm not just talking out my ass either i'ved raced them. any car or truck can be made faster than another with mods or for that matter "drag radials". yes we all know that the quad cab hemi's are not very fast and yes i saw your vid.

While I would rather not continue with the internet pissing match, I am still very interested to hear how psychogo3 got his claimed 523 rwhp with 5K. Because physics say without NOS, forced induction, increased displacement or really high revs, it is impossible to get the required oxygen to create that kind of power with the 5.7. He says he has no NOS or forced induction, the cost of stroking the motor wouldn't work in that budget, so unless you are revving 7000+ I don't see how it's possible.

Ignoring the fact this was posted from his account, please forgive me for remaining skeptic with absolutely no information on the motor. The argument isn't whether he can get that power n/a, or that he wasn't skilled enough to build that kind of power, because I personally don't know him. My issue is he boasts it was done on a 5k budget, with little to no hours worked on it, which is impossible. It doesn't seem like he is done with anyone, it really seems like he has painted himself in a corner.

The point of the video wasn't to make smoke, leave black marks or display how much power it was or was not making. It was simply made so people could hear the turbo spooling and to sort of show people that I had a turbo on my truck, it was pretty rare back then. I think I was one of the first five to have a running Turbo Hemi Ram. This is an old video made back in 2004, the guys doing the turbos now are making a lot more power than i was.

When I was started modding my truck not much was available, you could make about 300hp NA (no heads, cams were offered, 6.1L wasn't out, heck Superchips had just released their programmer a few months before I installed the turbo) or use NOS and it seemed a of the guys were breaking trannys with the NOS. I wanted to try something different.

I added more info about the truck in the description. I sold this truck a couple of years ago but it was a lot of fun while I had it. Now I had a Subaru WRX that is quicker than my truck was and cost less. I like import and domestic vehicles, one is NOT better than the other they each have there pros and cons.

The first bit of the break torque was great, but then as he picked up speed he started to get some traction and never let off the breaks. With a stock motor you can very safely run 8psi boost (lots of people run more) and that will give you around 450 rwhp, maybe think a bit b4 you comment.

Another example is saying he paid 8-10K for the turbo, thats the SRT 10 kit. The Hemi kit is under 6K for everything, he paid 8K for ALL his upgrades including suspension and stereo. 523 rwhp is great numbers, but NOS is a cheap way to inflate your hp. You can't compare price vs. performance because you're not counting what you will spend filling your bottles.
