Detroit is my favorite city. period. Just like in the commercial, i have witnessed the city come from hell and back, and from the worst of times 2 the best of times. I visit detroit often and love it. Detroit is a place like no other, where in times of bad we work together. I have never seen a riot or street fight in downtown since the civil rights movement, where when i was in Washington D.C., it was havoc
@L39L93 4th of July there were 80-200 kids (depending on what time it is) beating up white people. I work in that shit-hole, and I've been to Baghdad. I'll take Baghdad ANY day of the week. Detroit has unemployment over 25%, a high school graduation rate under 25%, half the city's adults are functionally illiterate, and the highest murder rate in the nation. Yeah, sounds like a great place.
There are thousands of us out there - people who BELIEVE in the City of Detroit. We need to come together for OUR city! It doesn't matter if you live there or not, what matters is if you try to help the city. Tell your friends to come and visit. Go spend money at local business. share stories about good times you have had in the city.
WE THE PEOPLE can make a difference with our attitudes, our consumer spending, and our *support* for the city!
@bryanguy1 this slogan wasn't around until the Detroit automaker started to use it. give your head a shake the Big 3 ARE Detroit.... they're sticking up for the city, showing the good while the rest of the country takes turns kicking the crap out of it. and i am not sure if you actually watched the clip on here but 2 seconds of a car driving down a street isn't a car commercial, this is a video in support of Detroit and nothing else. this video gives chrysler respect for doing what is right.
@bryanguy1 Well considering it wasn't a slogan until Chrysler came up with it, I don't see how you could view it as them "taking" it from Detroit. At least they're putting the city in the spot light; on the national stage, which is more than can be said about other businesses based there.
You know Chrysler is doing something right when even the mini vans are sexy.

Lost all respect for Chrysler after they have taken "Imported from Detroit" a slogan which should belong to Detroit and not by a business......
