so what exactly do those keeley loopers do? do they work like an effects loop or something. I'm trying to build a pedal board so far I mainly use a wah, dl4 and a tube screamer and sometimes a keeley compressor, maybe I'll just copy you haha. Your set up seems to be quite simple but badass. One question that I had is how do you balance Pedal drive with the drive from your amp?

Hey JV, I don't know much about these DL4s but I just got one and everything works fine except for the Loop, when i record something I can hardly hear it at all, like the first few times I thought it didnt work at all but then I put my ear right next to the amp and I could hear it a little bit...is my looper broken??haha.

I have few questions:

1. Is OxFuzz something lika a fuzz face with silicon transistors? Like Fulltone 70? Beacuse I can't buy this pedal where I live, so I want to find some similar pedals...

2. Same question for Red Snapper ...is it similar to ts-808 or which pedal?

3. What are your settings for dl4, because I have Ibanez DE7, it has good echo mode, but I'm thinking about selling it, to buy a good reverb pedal, because I can't find use for it in blues/rock,Hendrix/Trower/SRV

you can get an oxfuzz with silicon or germanium transistiors. he's using germanium ones. it's very similar to an old fuzz face but with some improvements. fulltone 69 would be close to the one he uses here, 70 would be brighter and harsher with more distortion, not as smooth.

also, look at MJM effects, they make good fuzz face clone-ish pedals.

How are you powering that Fuzz? Looks pretty clamped down, it would be a huge hassle to change batteries all the time.

what exactly is Octavia?

It reproduces the input signal from the guitar one octave higher, and mixes the two sounds with some added fuzz.. The effect was popularized by Jimi Hendrix, with whom Roger Mayer worked, and can be heard during the solos on the song "Purple Haze", recorded on 3rd February 1967. (from Wikipedia).
