  • I've been stuttering since I was a kid. I'm 25 now and for the last couple of years, I've been seeing a Speech Language Pathologist in group therapy and now I know how to bring my stutter down using daily practice. I use to stutter as bad as 20% of the syllables I speak. Now I can actually speak. You can talk to me if you want.

Now, I don't want to offend anyone but in my humble opinion as a previous stutterer, I do not think "open stuttering" is healthy for any stutterer. Just my 2 cents.

  • IM ALMOST 30 AND I STILL STUTTER IM SCARED TO INTERVIEW

  • do you guys know why you stutter?

    we stutter because...

    you guys think too much

    don't understand?

let's say you can't say the word "dedicated"

now say that word without thinking about you stuttering that word

if you sing, rap, etc., notice how you don't stutter severly?

that's because, you're not thinking about yourself stuttering.

    hope this helps a bit

  • Hi Gianfranco! I admit that it is very challenging to speak in front of camera... You are an optimist and you will find a cure. Keep looking and write me back! Thanks!

  • hey do you get laid if you stutter around a girl.

  • @mafejr LOL yeah right! Sometimes they think its cute and thats all. But most of the time they get annoyed by it. Trust me I know.

  • Hello.

I was just wondering - how do you feel about speaking to a camera when you make these videos, compared to speaking on the phone and speaking to people face-to-face?

I really like your videos by the way :)

  • Speaking on the phone is usually more challenging because of time constraint pressure,

  • Oh! Yes!!!

I usually don't use the phone unless I see from caller-display that it's a friend calling.

  • Welcome back.

"Open Stuttering" - That's a interesting concept. Do you feel totally relaxed with it?

    Cheers!

  • I am trying to work towards being totally relaxed with it.

  • I think that that's probably where I am at the moment. I'm finding that there are one or two of us who are beginning to network and it's much more constructive than the dumb speech therapy sessions I endured!!!
