God bless you, Mr. Vachss. I was given Batman: The Ultimate Evil as a gift as a teenager and never appreciated the book fully. When I tried to read it, it was so different from a typical comic book story that I wasn't able to enjoy it at the time. Now, as a 31 year old, knowing what you do and why you do it, I'm glad my family contributed in some way to your career.

Mr Vachss. I heard about you back in 1979, I think it was. You are one of my favorite people. I was abused emotionally, physically, and sexually for a number of years in different ways. Going away to college and then into the service to escape one of my molesters; reading, studying, and coming to an awareness, included reading about you and your work. God bless you. I will always believe that you empowered me to face the truth and stop the lies.
