I seriously think you could have made MUCH more progress with Rosetta Stone. They have it in Persian!!!

We used that same book in my Persian class. It's not a good book at all. The phonetic spellings are geared towards Brittish who have different accents. The best books to learn Farsi for US folks were published back in the 1950s to 1970s.
