If the PLL board on my Paragon hadn't gave up i would have kept the radio. I now have the Omni 6 Plus. I think the Omni has a better receiver which is not as harsh as the Paragon. Both radios look very similar but i think the Paragon looks a tad nicer.
I would take a Paragon 2 as they dont suffer the PLL problems of the first version.
@teamfab i hve bn doing comparison tests. andi used the timewave dsp 9 for just noise control.both rigs are great on cw, voice is not as good, of course this is not the 6 plus. the paragon was checked by TT 7 years ago and the omni a couple of years ago. my jupitor beats them both and the kenwood 570 dg comes close to the jupitor and my trc- 4 beats them all on voice. this is just on receive. i am not comparing any of the other functions yet.tks for the comment.
@eogg25 I use a little computer headset i bought from ebay for the Omni and the audio reports i receive are superb and like you i also have a TR4C, a lovely old radio that oozes character and again great audio.
